Headlight switch

Been reading allot about headlight problems and decided to check mine out. Wow what a mess melted wires burnt marks all over the plug disconnected batteries unrtil this mess is fixed. I see that most get the headlight harness upgrade from LMI and i think I will order pronto. got a new switch from napa however the connector or plug is another issue. Cannot seem to find it anywhere but the stealer and they want 50 bucks!! anyone got a source for them? Also I need to wire up this rig for trailer lights and I don't want to compound the problem anyone want to share detailed instructions on how to do this? I am not an electrical guru but can solder and crimp if given good advice.

I relay my running lights too. if you're pulling a trailer, you will have too many running lights for the switch to handle. One more thing, is you switch all running lights to LED's, it will imensely cut down on your amp load.

Napa carries the headlight switch pigtail. Tis where I got mine from.

It was like 20 bucks.
Definitely do the relay mods. It's well worth the time.

IIRC the mods are in the tech articles.

Do you know the napa part # local napa says they can't get it!!

found it on napa online and called them back and gave them their own part # for something I needed from their store and low and behold they had it

item 21 and 22 on this page. Pigtail is 6 bucks. This is where I got mine. Same problem as you...all melted and messed up. It was so bad I couldn't turn on my exterior bed light. New pigtail fixed all that.
