Glow plug relay clicking????

After the glow plug light goes out I get a clicking. Like the solanoid is clicking about a half a dozen times.
Wile clicking my headlight flash and the voltage gauge jumps from discharge to ok.
The solanoid isnt all that old.
has anyone had this problem????
I am afffraid that maybe one time it might no stop clicking Then what.
I would appricate any help.

That is normal operation, nothing to worry about.

It's called the after glow cycle. It's there just to reduce emissions untill the cylinders get up to temp.
