Gassser Tach In Diesel?

I've been given a 82 F-350 with a gas engine(351) will the Tach work with my 85 diesel?
did a search but nothing came up

I'm pretty sure it won't; IIRC the g@$$er tach signal is completely different from the diesel tach.

I thought you were selling a factory slant-nose diesel tach?

Ok found a thread over on FTE looks like your right. well throw that idea out the window
I already sold it. If the gasser worked I was going to put it up also.

Try it...brick nose tachs gas diezel physically swap...but no idea if electrically compatible....just sayin
