I am selling a 1996 E-350 cutaway project with the 7.3 powerstroke engine. I bought this as a project, and have done nothing with it so far. When I purchased 2nd qtr of 2022, I was told by the seller that:
E40D transmission was recently rebuilt-there is a Jasper decal on the door frame
Rear dual axle was from a 2017 F350
Van currently is no-start, but dash instruments power up, showing high miles, 300,000+, but nothing going to the starter. I believe this is due to the top steering bearing being very sloppy, and the system not being able to verify P or N placement, but I cannot confirm. I bought a new Dorman steering shaft, but have not installed. My plan was to rip off the cutaway and install a cabback, but my other project now takes my time and money. Van DOES NOT START, and must be towed. Work cannot be done on site.
For the asking price of $1,800, I will throw in Ford factory service manual set, as well as the right side "skinny" battery that is somewhat hard to find, and can be used for diagnostics. Truck also comes with a 18,000lb hitch installed, as well as a 60gal aux. fuel tank loose.
Feel free to ask me any questions, but know that I have not done much to the vehicle, so probably cant answer much definitively. Truck will come with a clean South Carolina title and TX title transfer form filled out. Truck is in Tomball, TX, which is in the NW Houston metro area.
