Has anyone looked into this or done it? I'm wondering if the frame is the same width as the F350, I believe they are coil sprung, I can measure a couple at a friends, but they are 20 miles away, so I try here!

I have seen many 4x4 Ford Vans on ebay. So it very possible, you'd have to make custom plates on the axle to sit the coil springs on it.

Or do something that no one would do simply cause it wouldn't be that strong of an axle....

Use an F150 4x4 axle, swap hubs for 8bolt hubs and your set, there already made for coil springs.

using a 60 from a 05+ SD would probably be best, coil sprug already.
warwagon did his van using a 50 ttb and making custom brackets and spring mounts

I wonder if the coil placement would be the proper width in the '05+

As far as anything less than a D60...just not gonna happen! This will be in a 12-14k gross off road camper, don't want any funny business out there in BFE!
