cyclinder contribution test...rough idle

so my truck runs good and strong but it feels like it has a slight miss... then i read about the new cps possibly causing this....

would that scanner software tool thingy from or whoever that is tell me such things?

It will do a cylinder contribution test and it will read your codes, but I don't know if it will tell you whats wrong for sure.

i'm new to powerstrokes, what is the cps? we have a 95 and it has a miss.

edit; cam positioning sensor. where? does anyone have a pic of where, i feel kinda dumb here, my idi doesn't have comp stuff.
