so my back window quit working and it didn't take long to find the typical cracked wires in the door jam

it's hot as hell so I think I'll just patch it up for now but do you guys have any tips for fixing it right?

looks like I need to rip into the door and b pillar then cut out and solder in a new section

Don't have any helpful info, sorry. But, your crew cab has power rear windows? My 89 has power front and crank rear.

older ones had cranks, I think 94 or 95 was the upgrade

I'd call this a half @ssed patch. it doesn't replace the fatigued wire and adds a stiff section to an already stresses area
thats why i'm planning to go into the door and pillar

Any wire will work for a patch in a pinch, if you want to go into the door and the pillar and replace at all with something that lasts, silicone insulated meter lead wire is extremely flexible and works good. A little difficult to find multiple colors ( there used to be a place called easy hook you could buy multiple colors of lead wire from).
