I've noticed that I have some sort of movement in my steering components when starting abruptly from a stop or stopping moderately.

I had a front end job awhile back... lotsa new parts. Ball joints, steering gear, steering pump, tie rod ends, springs, etc.

Also have a clunk under the hood when making tight left turns... sounds like it is coming from the left/front wheel area. Have a dragging brake there that hits once per wheel revolution... not sure if this clunk is related.

just for S&G take a look on the inside of the tire assy and make sure the rubber/metal caliper slide retainer is present. On a loose caliper/spindle the caliper retainers can sometimes work themselves off.
