Chevy truck info needed

A buddy's having problems with his truck. It's a '04 silverado 1/2 ton with a 4.8 gas engine. When he slows down to turn into a driveway or parking lot his truck dies when he turns the wheel. It only does it while slowing down. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks.

drive a Ford! lol My old '99 5.3 stalled a couple times when I owned it. It made the engine light come on, but when I re started th truck the next time it would be out. It seemed to do it the same way, only when slowing down or stopping suddenly. I had the computer custom programmed to match my cam and I never had a problem after that.
