Calendar Probs?

I want to add an event to the calendar, but it says my access to post is restricted.

Also, when/if I post an event to the calendar, does it automagically add it to the EVENTS forum, or vice-versa? Add an event in the forum and have it auto add to the calendar? I've seen it before, but it seems to me the calendar features like that tend to be hacks and are difficult to fine tune at times.

And yes, I think to have the calender talk to the events forum or vice-versa is a complicated hack.
