Found one for sale locally. Guy is asking $1200 or best offer brand-new unit still in box with all directions. This unit goes in between the bell housing and your transmission floor modifications are necessary. Brand-new they are $1600
I hear you there...I'm surprised they haven't made one that can go between the transmission and the transfer case. Given all of the adapters they need for various bellhousing bolt patterns, it seems to me it wouldn't take much more to make one that could do that, and then they'd expand their market.if it was I wouldn't be posting it here...... lol

The trick to the ranger OD is that it only has to survive INPUT torque, that is the max the engine can produce. All the other OD units have to survive the OUTPUT torque of the engine x low gear ratio in trans. If attached to rear of transfer case like some GV units it has to survive engine x trans ratio x transfer case low range ratio! Sometimes makes me wonder if a Ranger plus an old school bulletproof NP435 is smarter than a ZF.
Good insight...never thought about it that way. And, while there might be logic to the T-19 plus a Ranger, I like the idea of double overdrive with a diesel...OTOH, maybe you could do two Rangers with a T-19 behind them? The trick to the ranger OD is that it only has to survive INPUT torque, that is the max the engine can produce.
