I picked up an 88 7.3L and 2wd ZF 5spd for $600....275,000km...Recent clutch, SM flywheel, clutch M/C and slave....No IP, lines, GP's or injectors....I still figured it had to be worth $600 for all of it as the oil pan and cooler are still good.
.....The flywheel and pressure plate have a hot spot but the flywheel is like new other than that. I'll have it planed. The clutch isn't worn much but I think I'll toss it in favor of a new one unless I can get the pressure plate resurfaced too....Now I have two 2wd ZF's here.
....I might tear the 7.3 down, Hone/re-ring it and do a bearing roll in to freshen it up should I ever need it....My 91 has 413KM on it so it's only a 1/2 worn out out binder.
The best part is the ZF is a fair bit shorter than the E4OD so this will help significantly when I mount my divorced t-case.
...My gasket set just came in for my NP205 so it's time to get at it! This engine on one side of the shop,
and the stroker on the other side.
