so the f350 cab and chassis and the f-superduty(f450 equivalent) share the exact same frame?

then a guy could start with the f350 c&c 4wd dually, and swap rear axles and springs to make the 4wd f-superduty.swap cabs to boot, and register as the f-superduty and have the legal payload as such.
hmmm.idea's for the next rig.:)

im surprised no ones made any serious bids yet on this truck.what the heck.

ooooooh.its a stick shift.no wounder.:D

seriously though,60k miles xlt.and lame 2k bids with just 2 days left.
hopefully she picks up for the seller soon.i guess its not everyday when someone needs such a beefy rig.

to a point.you canstuffa450 cab on a 350 and register it as a 450 but if you run into a dot cop that knows trucks like he should, hed be giving you a hard time unless it was recertified for the 15000 gvw wich wont happen with 1 ton axles

not sure about that.i do know there were a few different PTO gears in the zfs.i used a zf out of an f250 in my 94 f450.i thought it was slower than others but other people said i was nuts and it was the same as every other 5 speed truck:dunno .i love the 450.ive had many f350s for wreckers and carriers but after owning my 450 ill never go back to a 1 ton for towing.

I think mine is pretty damn quick for a truck it's size.:D But those 5.13 gears in the diff may have something to do with that!:DLOL

Hell if a F450 is that good, a F550 must be better:D

Nah those newer superduty trucks aren't as tough as the F-Super Duty!!:D

You kidding? That 99 superduty has 250k on it and regularly grossed out at 20k+ hauling huge rocks into NYC. The rear axle is basickly a rockewell. It is a square tube single axle truck rear, it is HUGE.I believe it is a Dana 135!!!! The F450 has "only" a dana 80 in it

But it still has a psd!:D I'll stick with my "little" truck with it's IDI.;Sweet If I ever need to pull my motor I can do it with out pulling my cab off!LOL

My truck has spent it's whole life hauling "little" rocks/boulders among other things for a landscaping company. My little D80 disc brake rear diff is plenty to handle my 10-15,000 pound loads of scrap metal that I haul!:D If I wanted something heavier I'd just get a F600.;p

I'm been hauling my stuff with either a F250 or a E250 so this F-Super Duty is like stepping up to a semi!LOL

no need to pull the cab on the 7.3 trucks

I was told any major engine service on those required the front clip and cab removal. Guess I heard wrong about that then.LOL I thought that would be pretty screwed up.LOL

I'll still stick with my old P.O.S.:D:rotflmao
