I have put a 91 7.3 idi with a zf 5spd in my 75 F250 and am getting everything wired. My question is that I have the wire for the injection pump wired into the coil wire for the old 360 but I am only getting 7.7v at the pump shutoff solenoid instead of 12v. Does anyone know if the temp switch could be pulling the other 4.3v from the pump since they are tied together in the factory wiring? If someone could let me know I would appreciate it.

did you use the key on power wire to the ign coil or did you use one of the wires in the two wire plug on the firewall to the right of the engine? there are some resisted wires in these old trucks, I would run a new key on 12v wire.

The coil/ignition wire on these trucks, 73-79, have a length of resistor wire in them that drops the voltage.
Can't remember which one I used but there is a 12v source off the ign. switch in that bundle on the left corner of the firewall.
