73.L return line kit - HELP!!!!

I'm in the middle of replacing the return lines on my 7.3L IDI. I ordered the kit from Mel. The kit has some copper washers in it. They look like they would be used as a gasket to seal something in a compression fitting (I've made break parts for a living before). Problem is that when I pulled the lines off my truck, I don't see where these are used at. Can any one tell me where they go, or are they extra?

They are for the injector to head seal. If you dont pull the injectors out you dont need them.

Thanks guys. I check the tech articles again after I wrote this, and I thought that's what they were for, but I still wanted to double check.
