Hello folks!

Checking in from UT with my new 94 F350 7.3 IDI factory turboed and 195K on the clock.

First time diesel owner and I thought I wanted a Powerstroke until I read about how reliable and repairable IDIs were, joking about being able to fix it in a field with hand tools and determination.

Over Father’s Day, weekend camping up in the mountains, I was already fixing the thermostat and fuel heater leak in a field with hand tools and determination.

So yeh…Definitely stands true.

That's great stuff...... welcome to the cool club..... the big issue is typically just keeping fuel to the engine without any air..... as long as you do that.... they go and go.....

Thanks! It’s definitely been a great experience so far.

I did have the classic heater leak from the fuel header assembly. Managed to get a oring in to seal it up but I’m probably going to do the 1/2 tap and plug delete too.
