7.3 ambulance First ever Deisel

Looking for advice and suggestions for my 1997 7.3 ford 350. I've never had a diesel before so I'm looking for things I can do to improve and keeping it running. I just changed out the vacumm pump and am going to serpentine belt. I'm hoping thats why it squeaks.

Tire shine can sometimes stop a squeaking belt. That assumes it is in good shape to begin with.
We have a customer at work who has a 97 ambulance. I've gained a lot of wiring experience lately.
