Slow start at 47 °F ... Glow plugs?
Here is a cold start I recorded a few minutes ago. Outside temperature is 47 °F, I have Opti-Lube Winter (blue) anti-gel in the tank and I haven't run it in 24 hours. Didn't run block heater. Weird thick smoke before first drive of the day
Every morning never fails if I start the truck and let it idle longer than 3-4 minutes and then give it a small rev a massive thick whitish brown black cloud comes out then it’s clear the rest the day. high idle solenoid mod?
Anybody know if it'd be possible to unplug the high idle (cold start) solenoid and have it rigged to your own toggle switch other than being run by the system?
