My 99, 95, 96, 02 Dodges run great on B20. My 1994 F800 with a 8.3l C series Cummins runs extremely well on B20. My Directional Drilling Rig with a 4045 John Deere engine runs smoother & quieter on B20 and they all get better fuel mileage / consumption.
Today I stopped at Officemax to get some stuff. Came out and the truck would not start. Checked the battery terminals and they were tight. So I figured maybe a loose connection at the starter. I crawled under the truck. After I finished laughing I really looked hard and found the starter was...
My son has a 6.2 in a '82 blazer. About a month ago he had an electrical fire. We got a harness from Painless. It covered everyting except the glow plugs and control circuit. Does anyone know where I can get a diagram of the glow pulgs & controller. Other than that it gets 25 mpg, smokes...
My son has an 82 Full Size Blazer with a 6.2. Last night he got in his truck, pulled out the headlight switch and he got nothing. No headlights, tail, side or dash lights. We pulled all the fuses and checked them along with all the circuit breakers. Replaced the headlight & HI/Lo beam...
I have 710B John Deere. Don't need an exhoe. I use it mostly for a crane or for pulling stumps and boulders. It is tail heavy so it is hard grade with. But other than that it has good response to the backhoe for fine work. I think when I buy an new machine next year I will buy a 410G.
The Antique Truck Club of New England has a show every year in Hudson MA at the Hudson Elks Park usually right around the 12th of August. I think it is the 14th this year. We had about 200 antique trucks registered last year.
I see that you said it has 60 # oil pressure. I would suggest that you do the bottom end.....main & rod bearings. That engine likes about 90 psi. That engine is also very expensive to replace. The contractor I used to work for learned the hard way. A bearing roll was about $2100.....The whole...
I had a 1970 DC-87 and a 1971 DC93. They took a beating doing trash in Boston. Retired them in 1985 when I bought a new DK64B with an Atlas rolloff hoist. Rode a little hard but it would run the needle off the speedo. Boy I loved that truck!
Yeah, the macks are a little light in the front. Mack engine only weighs 60% of what those 550 cats but the trans is a little heavier. Nose is considerably shorter. The benefits I look at is they are easy on fuel, and parts are still available. My father & I had Autocars for years. Now it...
Everybody around has them 300/6sp. It's only running around the Boston area. I do somewhat agree with you though. If I had to do some serious work I would have bought a new truck with a 600 Cummins. Most of the time it will be used as a great big wheelbarrow on jobsites under an excavator...
