    yeah, I did, it was kinda a mess the last few months I was there. Luckily my folks were able to come out and help drive the caravan back to kansas(my truck, a 26' penske and a 24' budget......all over weight)

    Wow, im suprised no one has brought up eastwood's chassis black! I painted my jeep frame with it 6 months ago and it has been sitting outside since. now the frame was pretty rusty to start out with so i had sandblasted the entire thing, and i havent had any rust through.     As far as i know the top bolts line up but the bottom 4 and the dowel pins dont. As soon as i get this transmission I am going to measure and make up a diagram to show the differences between the two!

    I couldnt quite copy/paste the way it was on the website, but it is a PDF which works well for troubleshooting these transmissions. The gasser has a lower reverse and first gear.

    Well I bought a zf out of a 97 4x4 gasser this weekend off fleabay to put in my 85. Once i figure out how to get it up to NC from FL its going in along with some head studs. :D Has anyone had a wide ratio behind there IDI? Did you like it? hate it? I figured if i dont like it or can't make it...

    Well i was going to tidy up the downpipe and probably put new bearings in the transmission while i was at it, along with a few other piddly things(secondary oil cooler, fuel cooler, Baldwin oil bypass filter, finish drilling another set of bolt holes for the zf swap i did years ago). Im good...
