RPM top out at 3600
3600 is where the pump defuels. 3600 is close to the redline on these engines. Diesel don’t spin up like a gasser. I have a 6.0PSD and it reeves to like 4200, but that is really hight for a diesel. Most diesels in larger trucks (medium and class 8) top out at like 26-2800. The 2022-ish...- snicklas

I’m not sure on your security warning, I didn’t receive that myself. But the redirect looks like the oilburners.net domain registration expired. Once it was renewed it seemed like it took a bit for everything to start working 100% again. I couldn’t get in Monday at all, yesterday was so slow...- snicklas

Fuel Filter Warning!!!
Not that I am aware of. There are a bunch of FASS / AirDog systems out there. You could probably use the same setup on the 6.0 you have on the 6.4… or at least very similar. Could use some help
The Excursions do hold their values. If it is near perfect shape with documented history, it may not be out of line. I have an 03 Excursion Eddie Bauer 4x4 6.0 that I’ve owned for 18 years, so I know most of it’s history. I was playing around the other day on the value sites (KBB, NADA, etc)...- snicklas

Testing 4x4
My unscientific method was to find a gravel road (or other loose surface) put in the 4x4 and goose the throttle. Look at the tracks that were made. If 4x4 is working, you should have at least 1 rear wheel and 1 front wheel that spins and leaves a mark (more if you have some type of LSD or Locker)- snicklas

Humvee 37s on F250
HMMWV wheels are 8x6.5 like the 97 and older F2/350’s. In 99 when ford released the SuperDuty F2/350’s they went to 8x1700mm lug spacing. So the Humvee wheels would bolt up the the older Fords without the spacer/adapter the 99+ truck need.- snicklas

Congratulations on getting an Excursion. I love mine and is back to being my DD. Yours is a match to mine, except my is an Eddie Bauer and 6.0… but the same white/gold and tan interior.
