If it wasn't for DIY it would have been gone a long time ago. But after 33 years I quest I'LL keep it. I like driving it better than the 16 F150 . As soon as I get a chance the turbo is next, I half to get a oil line from Russ and I will have all the prices for the install. I found my...
Fixed the drivers side window motor it was in a bind. Found out what was wrong with the door lock motor, it had a terminal broke off. Had a motor off a van, had to change the rod to the lock it was to short on the van motor. Had to make a cover for it, a nigle glove did the trick. In stalled a...
With 134a you need a little more condenser to cool your high side and store the condensed high side liquid. That's the problem with the older F12 conversions to 134a. Good luck.
Hey get a set of H-4 bulb holders and then a set of H-4 bulbs that are 100 watt high and 45 watt low. The harness will handle it and you can see a mile. Just dim them when you see head lights coming because they want be able to see when your's are on high. I've been running them for sixteen...
In the Ford shop manual it has a diagram of a tool you can make for the adjustment of the mc rod. You can make it out of a piece of sheet metal. And it will make life easier with the mc change.
On your fuel tanks, if they are rusty or you have to clean out and seal you might be better off to replace with new ones. If you go with new ones get 'Spector' out of Canada, made with US steel. That's what I did, the front tank was full of alge and it was cheaper to replace than clean after ten...
That's the tool HFT I use, always pour a little refigerant oil in there to help loose it up. The o rings will be dry and they will stick, take the needle nose pliers and trun it left and right and it should pull out. Good luck.
Well after thirty three years I finally replaced the front brake hoses, I've had the S/S brake lines for Old blue for ten years. After replaceing the shocks last week I found the left side hose was in bad condition so on with the new. I also put on new TC Wanger pads, but would'n you know the...
That is a quick disconnect that Ford used, it can be taken out if you have the right fittings but they usually don't leck. I replaced my compressor and receiver/drier and the blue orvice tube. Two years ago and I got a kit with a life time warranty. And I still use R12 it is still the best on...
That's a good choice for the IH idi's. I wanded, if it was a IH color. I all ways wanted to paint mine IH red, but the old IH blue's would be a better choice for the trucks. Keep puging away it will get there one day. I have so many things to do to my old blue to get it back where I want it to...
gandalf, this is Rodney. I just copied this drawing. Thanks for the info on how to pm you and the others I know I'm not that good with these devices. Give me something to work with in medtal and I can work it out. Thanks.
When you pull the ring with the engine off it should drain out the hose at the bottom of the water separater. You probably have muck in it, old water and trash in the bottom at the drain valve. Try a little bit of vucum at the hose as you pull the ring or a little air pressure, not to much to...
I don't know what happened but I got posted. Like I said changed mine last year and it did a lot of good. But I put on the Bilstein today and it made a hold new driving experience out of old blue the 86.
Got the Bilstein on Old blue and I have a new truck. It drives like a new one, it hasn't rode or drove this way in years. The old shocks were gone, no gas left in them after 25 years.
Found the problems with the engine code light, it was the air intake temp sensor. It had a bad connection and that cleared the problems and now it runs like it should. The GP light is still blinking but the code is for a brake light switch I changed it today so now I have to clear the code for it.
Well the hydrobost has found a new home, it was a 88 SD not a 91 like I was told. Had to dig it out of the cutziu and the weather was nicer, overcast and humid. The bugs left us a long also, got the p/s pump still attached to the hydro m/c and the pedals also. Got the wiring harness for the...
Went junking yesterday and found a 91 super duty with all the goodies. Made a deal with the yard for the hydrobost and all the parts, pump, petal, and all. Back this morning to get the parts when it's not so hot, like to have bunt my hands on all the vehicles I climbed up on and over to get to...
That's the water in fuel light relay, I just bought one from my Ford dealership. It was $60.00, I'm going to wire it to my new fuel filters on the frame. I'm moving them from the fire wall and had to use this relay to replace the one in the filter to get the light on the dash to work.
