New to me truck, timing issue...

Thanks, I ordered a Sealey TL95 Timing Light Diesel Converter Box along with the Innova I linked above. I think it will do the trick, I even see someones comments on it that they used it for the 7.3 IDI. :)

New to me truck, timing issue...

    Got a new beast

Sorry I never answered, been crazy busy getting new house livable. And the truck has been in the shop more than not. I've wasted too much money at the diesel shop this time around for mostly non-diesel items. Yup has the factory turbo, I actually here the exhaust more than the engine, which I...

New to me truck, timing issue...

So I sold my 1991 RWD and got a 1994 4x4 dually with 125k on it. I think the timing is off. I've been perusing the tech articles and forum search. I'm having difficulty finding a "for sure" timing solution. Maybe I'm just tired and need to try again tomorrow. That said, will this Innova 3568...

    Got a new beast

Sold my RWD 1991 F350 and got this 1994, last year of the IDI. It has 125k miles on it. Biggest problem is the after market dump addition screwed up the bed. So I’m starting to keep my eyes out for a bed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dually bed for 94 F350

I’m looking for a dually bed for a 94 F350. Unfortunately the one on the truck I just bought is all messed up. The after market dump mechanism installed on it messed it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil pressure documentation

I’ve been searching here and online and while I’ve found talk of expected oil pressure, I’ve not found actual documentation, proof. The subject came up in a discussion in having and one or two people think I’m crazy and are saying under 20psi oil pressure hot is bad. Does anyone have a link or...

    What gauges would you install?

It depends in part on what you use the truck for. If you don’t tow much or heavy then a transmission gauge is probably not as useful. I definitely think the coolant temperature gauge is important. Have you tried fixing the volt meter? If the issue isn’t the dash then it’s probably nothing crazy...

Love my truck but really want/need 4x4

How is a locker compared to a limited slip differential (which mine has). I have two 4x4 suburbans and love them in the snow. This is the truck, probably driveable, if not I can get a 10k rated trailer for $112 per day...

    Torque Converter not locking up

Mine did that and l that was needed was to adjust something. I think it was the Fipl? Or something related to the shifting adjustment. Sorry I don’t remember for sure as it was the shop that did it and not me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love my truck but really want/need 4x4

Well it’s complete and running. But the engine needs a ring job and two cylinders have low compression. But I don’t need the engine, mine is in great shape and only 140k miles or so on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love my truck but really want/need 4x4

Hi @Macrobb :) After checking off and on awhile, I may have found a truck. A 91 manual extended cab 4x4 for $1,000. Would you still be willing to help "a lot"? :) I have "tools", but do I have all the right ones? I don't know, I don't have a transmission jack though I think one could be rented.

Huge Favor to ask - Check out Oregon truck

The one in Eagle point is interesting too, and it's manual! It doesn't look quite as nice though. I HOPE they're both well maintained. But I've yet to buy a used vehicle that was as well taken care of as sellers claim. They always have some obvious work that's needed, and sometimes some bad...

Huge Favor to ask - Check out Oregon truck

Hi guys, In my quest to find a CrewCab 4x4 with lower miles I've come across one in the greater Eugene Oregon area. I watched it a week or two on Craigslist. Then called them and spoke for 15 minutes on the phone (that was a couple 2 weeks ago). I was told the owner bought a new truck and just...

Champion aluminum radiator specifications, including comparison to OEM

Good luck, I had to return the one they sent me. It was twisted like some have had and needed some force to bolt in. And as soon as I got coolant in it, it leaks in the middle of the fins etc. I ended up with a legitimate NEW copper and brass one from here...
