I have been having problems with my starter not engaging. I replaced it today with a new one. When I took off the old one I could see some of the teeth on the flywheel are chewed up pretty bad. The new starter acts the same way, just grinds against the gear on the flywheel. So I put a 15/16...
I did the rear disc conversion a few years ago. 50,000 miles later I am still happy. I pulled a heavy dump trailer with 5 tons of shingles in it last week. Stopped just fine. Here is an old thread with a couple pics.

The caliper on the front of my truck have been sticking lately. It gets so bad that I can smell the pads burning. Yesterday I was going to replace both calipers and pads but when I pulled the tire noticed a large crack in the rotor.
I have been looking for rotors online and have found...
-20 here in Gladstone Michigan this morning. So cold they canceled school. I didn't plug it in last night cause I didn't plan on using it today. Went out this morning just to see if it would start. Had to cycle the glow plugs 3 times before she fired up. Sounded like a coffee can full of rocks...
I have a half a barrel of WMO that is contaminated with water. When I first got it it looked the color of a milkshake. It has since been sitting undisturbed for a year . Now it is black, so I think all of the water has settled to the bottom. The barrel is sitting in an unheated shed. Next week...
Yes I replaced them with new ones. I probably could have ran them another year. I have a bunch of them that I got a good deal on last year at Autozone.
I have been experimenting with used oil for a while now. With diesel at 5 bucks a gallon I'll burn anything I can get my hands on. I have found...
I run unheated WMO from April until December when it turns too cold. Been doing this for a few years now. Every December I install new glow plugs. If I try to remove the GPs right after running WMO they are coked up and hard to remove. I have also pulled a couple injectors at this same time...
I have the mod and yes you can still hit the OD button to drop down into 3rd from 4th. Great for going down a long grade. I like the idea of having an auto position too. Not a bad idea to hide the switch, a friend was using my truck to plow snow and called to tell me that everytime he turned...
Yesterday I tried a new booster and it only made braking worse. Ended up putting old booster back on and replacing the vacuum pump. That solved all my problems. The old pump made less vacuum as the RPMs got higher.
About 20 years ago I was trying to remove a Reese hitch that was rusted into the receiver on my full size Bronco. Big hammer and penetrating oil could not get it to bust loose. I also had a 16 inch diameter pine stump that needed removal in my back yard. Figured I could kill 2 birds with one...
I started having the same problem as you a couple days ago. Brake light comes on and pedal is really hard to push. The weird thing is that the symptoms come and go. Put a new master cylinder and reservoir on today and also bled a lot of air out of the lines. Still have the same problem...
I'd put the girl up for sale on ebay first before I started changing things around on my truck....then again, maybe that's why I've been through several women and still have the same truckLOL
Keep it. Make friends at a couple small auto repair shops and have them save their used motor oil for you. Mix it 50-50 with diesel. There now you got a vehicle that that gets equal MPGs with a econo car.;Sweet
I installed that kit on my truck last spring. It was easy to install and stops the truck better than drums ever could. Now that I am driving in snow and ice, I really appreciate the stopping power. Check out the following thread:
