    BRICK NOSE PICTURE THREAD

Picked up my first brick nose the other day. It came with an almost new Curtis plow. It's gonna be my plowing/mower towing truck. It's a 1990 F350 that for an unknown reason has a 6.9 in it. It's a ZF5 with a Banks turbo. It needs a few things like a master/slave cylinder, return lines, and glow...

Picked up a complete turbo kit for $96 dollars

The down pipe you are looking for is a Banks #52103. They are a perfect fit, I've used them on two different trucks. They are kind of expensive, about 120 bucks or so, but they work great and there are no other off the shelve options out there that I know of.

    Its nice to be missed!

I just got an email from oilburners saying that I hadn't been active in a while and that I was missed! My wife dont even tell me that! Lol. I sure haven't forgot about OB and all is well with my ole IDI! Bow season is less than a month away and I've been busy tending food plots, running trail...

It's an ATS 093 system which is a waste gated Garrett turbo.

new to the forum, hope you guys can help me out

Definitely post up some pics when you get it put back together. You have a fairly rare truck cause OBS F350's didn't come from the factory in a crew cab dually 4x4 configuration. Which means that it's been modified at some point, either it was a 2wd that was converted to 4x4 or it was originally...

    cdr delete?

I put a used 093 turbo kit on my '93 F250. I didn't get the turbo valve cover with the kit but I did get the grommet that goes into the valve cover. I just drilled a hole in the driver side valve cover to fit the CDR grommet. Since I didn't have a way to mount the CDR onto the valve cover I just...

Steering/Front end issue has me puzzled on my '93 F250 4x4

Thanks, I was leaning towards the 20 year old u-joints but the steering wheel bucking like that occasionally made me want to rule out the steering box.

Steering/Front end issue has me puzzled on my '93 F250 4x4

Hey guys, I'm seeking some OB wisdom on an issue I'm having with my '93. This issue ONLY occurs after the truck has been driven for a little while and has had time for everything to be warmed up and even then it ONLY occurs when I'm turning the wheels slightly, if I turn them very sharp at all...

    boost question

Take the waste gate actuator off of the turbo and shorten the actuator rod by about 15 turns. Hold the rod with vice grips or lock it in a vise so it won't turn inside the actuator. Be careful not to break the rod. I'm assuming that you could also unplug the line that plugs into the actuator and...

    The ultimate truck

Wow! I'd trade my '00 f350 cc 4x4 dually PSD straight up right now for that truck! The PSD is great and all but I'm an OBS IDI kind of guy!

    The 500$ 89 F-250. To E40d Or not too! A few pictures....

IMHO, don't even think of giving up the C6 for the E4OD. I have a '93 F250 with an E4OD and I had a '94 F250 with an E4OD. I had fits with both of them! I think the E4OD in and of itself isn't a bad transmission but it was Ford's first attempt at an electronically controlled transmission and...

Factory Turbo Inlet and Outlet housing gaskets, Need part numbers

Is there a gasket/o ring kit that anybody sells for these factory turbos? I've got a used kit enroute to me and I'm sure I'll need new ones.

    E4OD gets too hot

I'm ordering the above mentioned cooler. With that, the turbo you're sending me, and new valve cover gaskets I've got some work ahead of me! Shew, I just got done doing bellowed up pipes, new turbo pedestal, new turbo outlet housing, fuel bowl rebuild, new fuel rail sleeves, and new IPR o ring...

    E4OD gets too hot

Haven't put an aux cooler on it. It still has the small factory one, at least I assume it's factory. It's just like the one you replaced in your thread 94IDIT. The aluminum radiator is a Spectra that I bought new and installed. I had been toying with the idea that it needed a bigger/new trans...

    E4OD gets too hot

I installed an Optishift controller in my '93 F250 last year. The optishift has a trans temp function and I began paying attention to it. When I'm just putting around town for short drives the trans temp is fine. If I take it for a decent drive, especially on the interstate or somewhere that I...

    Sloppy Shifter

That's what I was looking for. I knew that the shifter in a Crown Vic can be tightened up that way.

    Sloppy Shifter

Take the outer boot loose and check the bolts that hold the shifter assembly in. My ZF6 shifter in my '00 F350 was like that and those bolts were really loose.

    Sloppy Shifter

The gear shifter on my '93 E4OD shifter on the steering column has become real sloppy. Is there some way to tighten it up up under the dash?

Timing question. I'm a little confused

Thanks! I have trouble with the simple stuff sometime! LOL. So why does the lumey/mag method use ATDC and the pulse method use BTDC? If I have it timed at 5* ATDC with the lumey/mag and then I check the timing using the pulse method will it give me the coresponding BTDC reading?

Timing question. I'm a little confused

That completely makes sense now. I don't know why I couldn't get my mind wrapped around it, I guess it was too simple! LOL

Timing question. I'm a little confused

I finally got around to checking the timing on my IP. I replaced the injectors last summer and athough I had a used but in new condition Snap On MT480 meter complete with the lumey probe, I didn't check the timing at that time. I just advanced the timing until it sounded and felt right to me...

    custom down pipe?

Summit Racing has the Banks pipe, part # 52103. When I had my '94 IDIT Summit didn't carry it then so I called Banks and ordered directly from them. It was the easiest down pipe to install that I've ever done. Perfect fit and worked like a charm. Compared to the POS flat factory down pipe it was...
