Spend the money and buy a raptor, I've ran one on both of my cummins and they have been problem free so far with 50/50 blends, i have ran over 100 gallons of 50/50 threw my current one. cool thig is they have a built in bypass that is adjustable.
I've been doing a 50/50 cold filtering blend of D2 and mineral oil, also trow a couple of gallons of WMO in the mix too, working great so far! super thin too, wanna try 75/25 of mineral to kero
Well I'll tell my story then for my summer blending lately.... I've been blending about 50/50 with D2 and a Mineral oil found in a/c systems. I also throw in a quart of 2 stroke oil and a quart of naptha for an injector cleaner in to my mix of 50 gallons. I ster it all in one drum, let it sit...
i just feed the bleed off back into the feed line to the pump... so the bleed off line would be T'd into the line that comes from the tank and feeds the pump. make sense? Should just draw a picture in paint and upload it
Ive been filtering wmo for a few years now with heat filters and a centrifuge and i have noticed a problem on almost every setup i've seen built, even professional, and this reguards to the bleed off for maintaining the 80-90psi line pressure needed for centrifuge operation. Almost everyone ive...
Lol thats the first thing i did when i built mine. I keep scratching my head cuz i havebt seen anyone do it yet. They all just rethrn bleed off back to the tank! Maybe ill make a thread about it
Yeah idk if i would even take a chance on a 6.7 even without the dpf... for one injectors are $400 a piece and are very picky about fuel. I lost a set of injectors in my 05 and im leaning to the idea that it was caused by wmo... i had a fg 2 micron filter before the ip too. The stock filters...
I miss my 12 valve. It loved it too. My common rail didnt. But yes i just put a fuel pressure gauge on in and plan to do a raptor liftpump on shortly, they make a nice one that mounts in the stock location for 300. I just finished up 50 gallons of atf/screw compressor oil/ motor oil mixed with a...
Just wondering who on here is running waste oil in there cummins, what setup you have on your truck and what blends have been most successful for you. Im starting to get back in to the wmo thing and wanna key into what everyone else is doing before i setup my next truck. I have a pretty...
All you have to do is route the bleed off back threw the pump!!! thats what i do and it works great! just run the bleed off into the suction side of the pump that way it all goes through the fuge.
If you can get your hands on mineral oil, that stuff works good, has good flow at cold weather and it doesnt have any additives for the most part which means less ash and smoke... my buddy has a 99 24v cummins p-pump and runs on 100% wmo heated and that has been the best oil so far as far as...
You coming to Boise?? let me know if you need some oil!!! just got a batch done..... kero shouldnt fry your pump, its really similar to diesel...
Matrix- I welded a fitting to my drum and just screwed in the water heater element, so yes its in direct contact witht the oil.
There you go my friend!! your off to a great start! got ur pump and some oil! looks good. simplicity and functionality is where you want to beill try to get a pic of my setup on here
if anything get an old power steering pump or the pulley off it... yo could try direct drive. thats what we did on our first setup, worked good ontil the motor took a shit.it also looks like you pump has a built in bypass which is good, but you still want a manual one, like a t with a ball vavle...
Yes i have a heat exchanger in my truck, since my truck is a common rail i figured it be a must... but that test was in my processor unit, it has a water heater element that keeps the temp between 120-150 while i run the fudge
Seams like 10-15 gallons of K1 diesel or a mix of the with 40 gallons of WMO and ATF combo is damn near the same as diesel as far as viscosity when its around 100-120 degrees f*
More test with kero have found it does really good! 3-4 gallons per 50 and it thins it, goes threw the fudge better and help settle and the fudage work more efficently. a tip to lengthing the times you clean the fudge, mount a 20-30 micron filter in the system before the pump to the fudge
