Im looking to get a 1st gen single cab long bed 4x4... had the 5 speed in it but has a fresh auto with converter for it.... my question is how easy would it be to put in with a floor shifter and what model would the auto normally be...
I have a tan bench seat out of an 1990 ext. cab f-250...still in good condition, rarely used for sitting in...mostly jus storage for my books and bags... make me an offer if you want to buy it
so what you guys are saying is if i get another stock tranny it can be upgraded to better that ever before... how much do you guys think it would cost?
coils kuz its 2wd not 4x4 but its got a 4inch lift already jus goin bigger coils do u have any advice as to what to look out for as far as brackets or bushings or anything?
well the tranny is shiftin real bad jerkin around in 3 and od....it has a shift kit in it right now but i hate the damn thing so bad... i just want another stock tranny with a valve body and torque converter.. would that be alright or should i just get a reman tranny with upgrades and no shift kit
well guys i appreciate the thoughts but i jus want a stock tranny and upgrade as i go due to budget cuts... i think a valve body and torque converter would be the first thing to do... any advice?
Well i know all that but they hassle everybody around here... all the high school kids have money from dairies so they get big lifted trucks and the CHP flock here kuz there so ticket happy...i really want get 16x8
i would go and buy new rims and tires but diesel aint cheap in cali and i drive about 80 miles per day and dont want bigger tires and rims... CHP in my small town wait for guys like me to get them so they can hand out tickets...
ok so they are 16x6 so would i go have to pay more for rim since they are an odd size... i mostly see 15x10, 15x8, 16x8, 16x7 occasionally, and 16x10 but no 16x6 it blows
Yeah ill find them somewhere.... I got an 83 KTM 420 deuce stroke and it hauls ass, i can keep up with 500's no problem and all it has is a K&N air filter
