First I just want to thank you guys for helping me with the information about getting my truck running again. ;Sweet Really helps to know those torque numbers and proper procedure. Anyways, it only turned out that one glow plug came out with out the tip so I didn't pull the other head...- Mr_B

Glow plug tip broke
So I started to pull out the old plugs and most were ok, but of course one came out with out a tip :mad: I suppose that means I need to pull the head? I haven't started it yet and don't intend too. Any suggestions? i.e. what kind of head gaskets and while I'm at it what else might be worth...- Mr_B

I have the 6.9l in my turck as the sig says but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the 7.8l ford diesel.... I know absolutely nothing except that it is in a 1989 L-8000 dump truck with a 5 speed (zf5???). I'm tring to figure out if it was any good, things to look out for, etc...- Mr_B
