fuel pump burning out

I have a 2001 PS F250 SD that just started to eat the fuel pump I have 76,000 miles on truck replaced fuel pump on 4 21 2006 and went out on 4 27 2006 locked up again, replaced 4 28 2006 at 10 am and by 6 pm was locked up and was too hot to touch. any ideas on what is going on with truck...
