    Where to mount electric pump

When calling out for specific data, doesn't that go beyond just suck-n-blow? You yourself indicated it was important in the above. I gave you a spec sheet to review for your specific application since you didn't specify....and a resource too!

    Where to mount electric pump

U asked for it, you got it! http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/en-US/literature/en-US/Y580701456-03_DataSheet_enUS_T6821244939.pdf Now which tank did you want again??

    Where to mount electric pump

Pretty much agree, but am looking for best performance without the factory/distribution point disagreeing with itself! Also, with every install, one must weight up's-n-down's. My concern is two-fold with this pump, first- reading the potential errors on here and problems experienced. Road...

    Where to mount electric pump

Swapping parts is not the point again, nor is the desires of the customizing entity in question to take a back seat to possible upgrades or alternatives to unreliable parts. There are many parts not OEM on nearly every engine out there. Water pumps, fuel pumps and many other items installed...

    Where to mount electric pump

Your actually making my point for me. Any commercial application will have everything I'm looking for in specs. Not manufacturer will use some mystery part in their units if they don't know all the specs, refrigeration unit or something else. No need to build in failure. Now I don't know a...

    Where to mount electric pump

If the the Facet site is in conflict with itself, doncha think it's a little unprofessional? How does a person know exactly what/where/how it is to be mounted. The pumps don't even come with instructions nor is there a posted pdf with necessary mounting instructions, recommendations, etc. All...

Odd running to not running issue.....

Thanks for the response and link. I need to do it anyway, my speedo is totally pegged at start up. It only backs off as I increase speed.... my compass also has fits, hopefully this will at least solve that issue.... of course I was hoping for a twofer.

    Where to mount electric pump

Cheater!!!!! I disconnected the FSV from the rail, which allowed me to twist the assembly to greater advantage. Still, it only left a single hand to manipulate that little bastreed! Once the clip is out, the fitting almost falls off. The reason I didn't cut or "slit" it off the barb is...

Odd running to not running issue.....

WOW!!! I have dual alternators, neither one has given me fits..... 150k+ miles since '03... only owner. I've got the 4x4 Camper Special. Check this out, have you heard about the trip meter reset? I haven't done it yet, but will try tonight when I get home. It goes something like this...

    Where to mount electric pump

Vacuum pumps are also limited by lift and requires more air than fluid to properly operate. The concern over being struck by flying objects is very real for these Dura-Lifts. I'm guilty of not installing a "pre-striker" in front of it..... yet! This will be installed later, hopefully not...

    Where to mount electric pump

Well.... here's a continuation of my Purolator rant I guess. I was going to start a new thread of my recent install, but will do it here instead. First off, I'd made an assumption these pumps were centrifugal based on inlet/outlet positions. However, the outlet is centered on the pump...

Odd running to not running issue.....

Ok, I found this little snippet: 2003/04 Computer Programming Recall 06E17: Truck built before 9-29-03 are being recalled to have the computer reprogrammed. The reason for this recall is to correct fuel injection timing during cold operation, EGR valve control, lack of power, check engine light...

Odd running to not running issue.....

Hey snicklas, you been driving my truck?? :backoff I have similar problem, however, I didn't have alternator dilemma's. I even went so far as to replace my functioning batteries, they were 5 years old, but load tested well. If you remember, I also replaced my ICP for another dilemma...

    Worst mpg thread

Definitely music!! My single n/a get's 6GPH in a 40' boat full throttle.... only doing 9.8 knots. Weird the differences, burning twice the fuel with more HP/torque to boot. So far the ole IDI's worst is 13.5mpg, driving excess throttle and only light loads to date.

    Manual glow plugs

I personally don't mind dealing with it. It's kind of a fail safe warning system. Makes you go look at the engine, which is always good for long term reliability. When we're forced to look, we can find other stuff that may give us indicators of other potential problems before they occur...

    Is my wife crazy?

That's what I do!! I close the winger all the way, latch it just before the button catches, so it at least looks semi-locked. Key's still in ignition?? No problem, knife squeezed past seal to hit window latch, arm in to hit open button..... VIOLA! I love wings, besides the lock out...

Well I be dad-gummed! Lernin' sumpthin new ev'ry day!! LOL Sorry about foot in mouth, seen a gazzillion in boats, I normally don't play with cars-n-trucks....guess I'm just all wet!!! I retract my obviously flawed guesstimate! In the e-brat ad, I didn't see the splined section for...

    E4OD help!!!!

What are you talking about?? Never seen a torsional damper? How about a drive plate? Maybe a drive damper? Here, maybe this'll 'splain it better with pitchurz: http://www.marinemechanic.com/site/page113.html http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12334-high-performance-dampner-plate.aspx...

    E4OD help!!!!

Then what's that black rubbery stuff around the splined area? You know, the triangle plate with springs in it. We call it a flex plate mounted to a fly wheel, which also mounts the ring gear. What do you call it? The torsional damper? Ok... my bet is the torsional dampner.... howz that? Better?

    craigslist find. reno, nv

Probably a bit high.... but it is turbo'd in spite of exaggerated speed, and still a decent looking truck. It would make a great work truck and tow vehicle with the goose-n-ball business. If I had the dough, I'd offer him 25 for it.
