    Losing Prime

I got them about 3 months ago when I was fighting an fuel leak back problem. It was pretty frustrating.

    ZF5 swap clutch line

ZF slave has a pin. The one you pictured is for one with an internal slave cylinder like a ranger. There are no external slaves that use that larger push ring connector. BTW those (internal slave connectors) are fun the first time.

    Stereo help please

Just wired motorcycle stereo. Seems that the wire colors are standard, but connectors vary (at least on modern units). There are like 4 wires you need to splice into connector to the unit + speaker wires. Crutchfield is a great resource. If you go junkyard route, just pull the entire unit...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Headlight relays and new high beam switch in the brown truck. Hopefully no more intermittent no lighty. Pretty scary when there's no moon.

6.9 IDI dies off throttle and weak at idle

Not starting great either. Is it always that hard to start? I'd start with glow plugs and fuel. Did you just get the truck? Any known history?

Good online source for cylinder head?

I think I paid 1200, but I got turbo valves. Seems like a good price.

    Pressure Plate Release Arm

Pull it out. Replace the fork, piviot and entire clutch. They don't do that for nothing. Probably really stiff pedal. That's why we crack bell housings in ZF, and firewalls too. Grease the pivot with high temp grease, run T/O bearing dry if it's the plastic type. Also check the surface the...

    Someone go get it!!!

Bid at 7000. Seems like a lot for 84 (swiss cheeze frame) F250 (no solid front axle). My 86 F350 must be worth something.

    How hot is too hot

Driving my 86 F350 today to get some propane tanks re-certifiied. It's pretty hot - maybe 90. Driving up hill (this is C6 truck) were going slow, and temps rising. I remember the fan clutch used to kick in around 210 - then it would sound like a jet engine. Today... Nothing. Temp went all...

what goes into pulling an idi?

I pulled fenders and core support off in one piece. I think it made it easier. That said, I like the idea of pulling fender core support and cab all together. +1 on the super sweet shop comment. And clean truck too.

    Project Little Foot

Installed the headlight relay kit today after work. Curious where you are mounting the relay. I put them in front of the battery, but not sure that's the best spot.

    7 blade trailer plug

Was just looking at this. This was helpful for me: https://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx Probably same info as mad mac just posted, only it's got some pretty pictures.

    Project White F250 Restore

Creeps up on you - a couple hundred bucks at a time.... Maybe I'm desensitized by California prices, but I think if you can get the truck, and get it clean and reliable for 6K you're doing pretty good.

Removing cylinder head / engine removal

How do you pull the cab? With lift supported from the bottom? Or are you doing something like wrapping under roof and using forklift/escalator? Curious is second option bends or deforms the cab.

    Project Little Foot

Switch is in good shape. I took it out and inspected and tested both connector an harness. Look OK. Headlights and front running lights are now working. I need to check front turn signals. Rear brake lights, running lights and turn signals are off. I need to double check the running...

    Open plugs/connectors

This is pretty awesome. And Free. It's for Bullnose, but may not have changed a ton. https://www.garysgaragemahal.com/1986-evtm.html If I could find a good paper copy, I might buy on in case the internet goes away. Copyright must be up on this. I think they are 25 years. One of the...

    Project Little Foot

Made some progress after work today. Got the junctions split apart and ring terminals installed on a terminal post. Added fuse to starter relay and removed the fusable link. Short to ground is gone and headlights and front running lights work. Thats the good news. Bad news is still no...

    Wiring Troubles 1993 7.3 IDI

Trying to sort out wiring on my truck. Had several wires all spliced together and there was short to ground along with fusable links. Just fiddling with it removed the short - hate that. Cut the splices and added ring terminals and a terminal post. Now I can debug one at a time. One of my...
