    Rock Auto, scam on shipping?

Yes, but think about how many times that one bulb is handled by Oreilly employees even just getting to a store, then its kept in a climate controlled building with lights shining down on it for you to walk in and find it, and be rung up by a person making your local min wage, and thats assuming...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

Update: Got it aligned, drives nice and straight now. I had to get new adjustable camber bushings, since with new pivot bushings and springs I was WAY OFF. It cost me more than I was expecting, but its done right and that's what matters most. (At least thats what I tell myself to sleep at...

    Rock Auto, scam on shipping?

Ya gotta be careful on the shipping with them, but if you question it ya should reach out to them, ive contacted in the past and they were actually pretty helpful with a return for me. (this was years ago tho) I bought 90% of all my parts on my recent project from RA, if I go local I only use...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

It was a tough call, but when he told me the parts price and said he uses Dayton parts, I already knew how much they were from rockauto in my head, so I said sure let’s do it. I just refreshed my entire front end by myself brakes, bearings, pivot bushings. I saved enough money to justify...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

Update: New Dayton springs and shackles are in. Front end clunk is gone, and definitely the road bumps aren’t as jarring as they used to be! Rides as good as a 90s Ford TTB Dana 50 can I guess lol Total cost was $1126 out the door, which I felt was a very fair price, the same parts from...

    Factory Alcoa lug nuts

Thanks, ya I did a lot of searching, but the problem with that sometimes is too much results if different conflicting information across the boards. I think I might go buy a single one of those Dorman ones and see how they fit. I have bad lug with wheels and lug nuts so I want the correct...

    Factory Alcoa lug nuts

I checked rock auto, and they actually list all kinds, standard, acorn and ball so wasn’t much help. I was hoping someone on here has factory alcoas and could chime in with a picture of what they have.

    Factory Alcoa lug nuts

I just switched to factory Alcoa’s from aftermarket ones, I’m Embarrassed I have to ask, but what style lug nuts do I use for the factory Alcoas with the caps I’ve found they are 9/16 - 18 with 7/8 /21mm hex But a lot of the open style nuts are 3/4 hex, seem too weak. Anyone got...

ZD1A and ZD28 Glow Plugs from RA

when I first heard of this new part number change and counterfeit stuff. I ordered an set of ZD9s from an online ford dealer, made sure they all said made in Germany and set them on my shelf for safe keeping lol I just went and checked, and they all do have a perforated hole punch in them on...

    ATF in fuel filter

It sounds like fuel is cycling through the system then, you can try the ATF trick. Its not going to harm anything. The idi will burn anything really lol Most importantly you should start your own thread and list your issues, and things you have tried, and more people can chime in that are more...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

Thanks for the reply, I just did my pivot bushings, and it wasnt that hard actually, I used a chisel punch to fold over the bushing casing on 2 sides and then used a round punch to push it out using each side to "walk" it out. Im just going with the new leafs, im pretty sure they are the...

7.3 idi throttle position sensor question

Could have loosened up, next time maybe put a little blue loctite on it, or switch out the bolts so you can get more torque on them vs the torx screws I’d reset it and see how it works out from there.

    ATF in fuel filter

When you are cranking are you getting any smoke from the tail pipe? If you are seeing smoke, means some diesel is getting to the motor it’s just not hot enough to combust, could be a glow plug issue. Just throwing out ideas here, not sure of your specific problems

Dana 50 wheel bearing replacement, how in-depth should I get

Nice, I have the speed bleeders where you crack them a 1/4 turn and they have a valve in them so you can pump the brakes and flush fluid out.

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

Well, just gonna have a shop do the springs for me, I drove it today and the clunking is crazy from the spring shifting, so I drove to the local spring shop in Hartford and got a quote. Rockauto with Dayton springs, shackles, and u bolts cost right around 650 shipped, local spring shop with all...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

I’m leaning towards just redoing the bushings, I have decent gap at the bump stop, if I replace the bushings it should give me even more, and just tac weld the clamp back in place and it should be fine. Someone has a 12 ton shop press for sale near me (I don’t have a press) might go pick it up...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

I’m already going for an alignment 2nd week of Dec, just installed new ball joints, and want them to last. I don’t want the sloppy leafs to mess up my new ball joints.

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

I have, but have read its a major pain in the ****, buddy did it and said he would just buy new springs next time, and his shop set up is way better than my driveway. Honestly it probably would fix my issues, and I could just cut that clamp off and get a bolt on one. My add a leafs are crooked...

Installing new leafs on 94 F250 TTB

I think its time for new leafs on my truck, from what I can tell they are the factory springs with an add a leaf under them. I have 225k miles and its a 30yr old truck, so think I got my money out of em. Im looking at springs on RockAuto, factory spring load is 3486. My question is.. I have a...
