    Fuel issues?

I've had an occasional problem when accelerating where it starts acting like maybe fuel starvation? It gets rough, loud, sounds like maybe it's missing (?). If I let off on it and accelerate slower it stops. Since this has started I've changed out the fuel filter, and installed and electric...

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

I'll definitely have to finish tracking the lines to see why all three run to the front. As well as figuring out which of the other two is the engine bound one. Glad to know that putting the pump close to the front is an option.

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

So is that correct, the fuel & return lines are the ones w/ the QR connections? And what about having the pump up near the tranny crossmember, is that too far from the tank?

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

Gandalf - going from your pics I'm thinking that the bigger of the lines under my rig is NOT the fuel line because it doesn't have the quick release fittings. Seems like those are on both the fuel & return lines.

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

Ok got some pics, - the first one is where the lines come from the tank - then the rubber piece that runs the frame. I see now that the lines seem to be pressed down into a groove. I also see a bunch of east coast rust on the hard line and would be nervous prying them out. - now the exciting...

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

Can do. I'll crawl under there in a bit and see what kind of pics I can get. Its always a challenge trying to get info that's van specific, and I'm not on enough to have figured out who the other van owners are. Why just have what everyone else has, right?! [emoji16]

    Fuel lines on a E350 cut-away

Haven't been on for awhile as I've been ignoring this rig and hoping it would somehow fix itself. [emoji16] So, I have a bad/ leaking fuel pump and I'm going w/ an electric. I have the parts needed. Now the question, when I look at the lines coming from the tank there are three, and they go...

    Fuel Pump Block Off Plate

Would love to get one that doesn't require grinding as ac power is not a thing where I'm camped. Sent from my Z6201V using Tapatalk

    Anybody put a C6 pan w/drain?

I totally understand about the fill tube issue. I tend to check it when it comes into camp, top up a bit, and then wait till the next morning to see how close I was. Its definitely a pain.

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

I knew of some people down the road from my friend's place in Ark. Every winter they would prop, flattened, cardboard boxes against the outside walls of their shack for insulation, and during termite swarming season they said sometimes it was hard to see the tv. [emoji23] Topic- I think its...

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

Cubey - Right, and even the filter mounting position makes it hard to do some simple things up top. Hell I had trouble accessing the bolts for the TPS w/ the filter there. More access to the engine from under the hood and ease of accessing the pump and filter, was enough to have me buying the...

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

Doing the same on mine for the same reasons. I got the Walbro and plan on moving the stock filter set-up down to the rails w/ the pump. It will make working on the engine soo much easier. Now I just need the block off plate.

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

That's what I thought you meant. I'm doing that same thing on the three (will be four one day) fuel tanks I have on my deuce. Pumping from them into the one I keep as my "usable"tank. [emoji106]

Biting the bullet: Converting to electric fuel pump

What do you mean by "fuel tank transfer pump"? Do you have multiple tanks and pump from one to another?

Lift pump output olive or o-ring?

Very interested in this as I've started having spotting around the lift pump area as well.

Looking for some parts sources for a couple of parts I need

That sounds like where they have a heater hose attached on my engine. This rig had a rear heater and the hoses came from the top of the water pump and rear of the engine on the top, drivers side. www.instagram.com/DirtTrackTravelers Just reread your first post, and I'm wrong. It's not the...

    Heater hose fittings

Cubey - we are. It was first built out as a rental around 10 years ago, that fell through and it got used once or twice a year for half a dozen years, then it was stored for 3 years and the packrats moved in and did a number on it. Now my lady is moving into it and I'll be doing a major remodel...

    Heater hose fittings

1/2" npt, thank you. And yes, it would be a great place to add in a coolant filter, but unlike all you truck guys they didn't give us much in the way of extra space up front. I am going to save the fittings that I take out (if they are still good) and once my to-do list decreases fill figure...

    Heater hose fittings

I'm in the process of replacing the vacuum pump and while I'm there I want to delete heater lines that went to the rear heater. Right now the rear heater is long gone and the hose is looped from the top of the water pump to the rear of the engine. I'd like to have plugs to replace the hose...

    Best way to post photos?

Outside sources can often end up w/ "photo moved" on the images in the forum thread. :-/ I've read many old threads in forums that have little, or no, images because of this. www.instagram.com/DirtTrackTravelers

    Yet another E40D Thread

I have question on this. I often hear about the tach being an issue. On the trucks it seems like you have a tachometer in the dash, on the early 90's vans we do not. So how does this work for us? Do we have a sensor and just no gauge? If so, how would we know if it was bad?
