I did originally have the yellow wire connected to the passenger side battery. I've seen where people had suggested putting it at the fender mounted relay, but I don't have enough stud left with all the fusible links and two 1/0 cable lugs to relocate it there. I though about just going back to...
I just put this one on. Previous one was doing the same thing.
Come to think about it, could the controller be sticking on?
During the very cold days, when the engine has been stone cold (first start of the day), I swear I haven't been hearing the GP afterglow cycle. Other times I've heard...
The plugs cycle correctly. I've been planning on getting another short cable to connect the 3G case to the filter head bracket just to be sure. I only have the fusible links and the two 1/0 cables at the starter relay, but I do have all the accessories connected at the driver's battery...
I'm very close to calling it on all fronts mechanical. Thought about just plowing into a bridge support on the way home this afternoon with everything that has been going on here (BAD vehicle screwjoo).
Sorry in advance for the long read...
Since the MOMENT I started the truck after installing...
Mine never goes away, but it has seemed like since last I timed it, that its actually advanced. That is to say, clatter has seemed to have gotten louder over the past couple of years.
Check parts from LMC closely before accepting the shipment, and make site you're only getting Cobra King brand (or other Tiwanese) stampings. The Chinese ones are garbage. Whatever toy can get from Raybuck, do. Otherwise LMC isn't a bad option. I haven't had luck with NPD.
Subbing to this one. Got a Duralast SMF kit from Autozone (Luk) to do my conversion. There is indeed a different part number for the IDIT trucks, but even at idle, I have some vibration and under the truck I can see the clutch fork bouncing in time with it. Could also be some other BS from when...
It's the little one on top/center that just presses onto the terminal. No nut on it, unless that connector has broken off at some point and someone replaced it with a ring terminal. It's the only small one that's all by itself.
I mentioned previously that everything under the driver's side valve cover was noticeably darker than the passenger side. I'm running a faucet for the lift pump and have a block off plate instead of the mech pump.
The driver's side is what really screwed me after the teen girl hit me awhile...
New symptom today. Not entirely sure how to describe it, but I'll try and start from the beginning.
I haven't been able to get to pulling the IP/valley pan/valve covers/rockers/valve springs due to the weather. Instead I've been dealing with a strange charging issue. 200A breaker inline with...
Pull the grill out to get to the latch. Might be able to get a screwdriver in there to actuate it. believe it or not, I've had this happen before, but can't for the life of me recall how I got the hood open.
As far as the brass return manifold and it's olive, I copied what Brian did. The it away and replaced it with a brass tee fitting and 3 hose barbs. Just have to route the IP return line to am injector return cap. #2 is easy to get to.
The olives Russ has are spot on, but I think he also sells hardline delete kits from the filter head to IP. I traded a pedal assembly to Mike R Green for one and verified that it's either the old return to tank line letting my system bleed off or just the old IP causing my longer...
I'm trying! :D But no one wants to give away a clean truck for free. I don't get it :dunno
I'll even feed them, and clean them, and take them for walks ;)
Fenders I've already done, but I still prefer the thicker factory sheet metal. Doors and cab floor are my big things. My choice of having the floor patched or getting a new cab was made for me when I was under the Enterprise yesterday...
Bronco tanks are 32 gallon. IIRC, they require some modification in the frame side to fit correctly. Could always just get the F-Series 38 gallon.
And I wish I could find a IDIT, 5 speed, 4x4 truck even for parts for that price. Better if it had a crew cab!
Folks in this state think ZF's are freggin gold. Prices on anything Ford truck have gotten stupid. Prices on anything really. Caught an ad on a local FB group for a Geo Tracker, fit wanted $10K! "Everything is new or rebuilt", but you could see a fist size rust spot on the hood.
