Who says Motorcraft GP's dont swell?
Best of luck to you with the Wellman's.. I got a set from Diesel Rx and the first one failed in three days, the next four failed within five weeks. I pulled them out and replaced all with ZD-9's. One ZD-9 failed in eighteen months. Just sayin'...- BioFarmer93

Yeah, that was going to be my 2 cents worth.. Just have him start with some bigger stock so you can have the "tips" for zero compression change, spin the threads & seat, and have enough meat left to make the hex heads. I agree, it is a simple fuel circuit. That being said, these trucks are old and a lot of them have been wrenched on inexpertly for a lot of years. As far as I'm concerned the one way valve needs to be in the (stock) vertical hard line from the lift pump to the filter head, but hey, I don't work...- BioFarmer93

Well, if you get tired of dinkin' around with the stock filter & head and all their associated BS & probs, you can substitute a Goldenrod head and waterblock filter with about ten minutes of fab time. finally added some super tech tcw3 but think i added to much?????
Henry likes bacon drippin's and chicken fat stirred up together with a dash of Tabasco and some garlic...;SweetLOL Other than that I do like Freebird with a pint of Wally 2-stroke per tank at fill up, unless I'm running WMO blend, then I don't worry about it.- BioFarmer93

Kill Switch: Ya or Na
I know it's not intuitive, but listen to your dad. Brimmstone's method is real good, splicing in at the starter rather than under the hood or in the dash. As was mentioned, owner wiring is easy to spot under the dash, so put the switch somewhere else. Do e40d's have a neutral or park sensor...- BioFarmer93

Engine Temp Light
That'll do just fine, and you can pull power off of your dash dimmer/headlight switch so that the gauge backlight goes up or down along with the rest of your dash instrument lights.;Sweet- BioFarmer93

Where to get good gp's and controller
G.W.- As stated before Motorcraft/Beru ZD-9's are the plugs that seem to hold up best in our engines.. O'Reiley's usually has them for around $10.00 a piece. The controller I got from Diesel Rx is holding up fine.- BioFarmer93
