    Should be 10 microns on the old mechanical injected diesels, 3 microns on electric injectors. Donaldson has them

    A siginaw pump from Econoline diesel van,e couple hundred psi more than a ford pump, and directly bolt on. Around 1450 psi.

    Return line backflow preventer. This helps also, air may be getting in fro M the rrturnlin. We put them in back in the early 90's at Ford to eleviate tthi. Check all yur connections, and clamps. First. Filter integrity next, includingdrainin any watter potential.

    I ended up Bending a #2 cyl line off some spare parts for temporary use, until i can get some new ones and clamps. works grepartsbut hers the thing, im pretty sure there could besomeimprovements on this, like steel braided lines, with fittings on the ends. Wih the right diameter inside to match...

    Second time the #4 injector line has gone in a year. Used up all my spares. Right behind the fitting on the pump wnd. I trued soldering it, but didnt make it through the test drive. Cheapest lines I found are 240 $ for a set, 60 for a single. Im considering using one from a cyl 2, spare i have...

    Motorcraft thermostat for sure, used others without the results a motorcraft has. And, make sure the popit ball above the stat is freed up. You cant miss it. Clutch fan, works the best as well.

    Thats great, 15-18 is reasenable. Depending on the speeds, terrain, and gearing. Hauling my 2800 lb camper, i can get 17.5 going to Missoula MT down 200 via the Kootenay National Park from Bonners Ferry. Did that a few years back. Feathering the peddle as i wasnt in a rush. Sure beat my friend...

    Nice work, i havent been on th sight for a while so playing catchup too. At my age, i blink and 3 more grandkids show up. im still running my side turbo 7.3 diesel , had the heads off once, lapped and smoothed out the ports . amazingly they just keep burning.

    1970 F-250, 7.3 IDI turbo

    No, the y-pipe carries the exhaust over to the drivers side manifold, and up through to the turbo... works very good. Just did a trip through the Rockies here in bc with my American Road Camper...11.5 feet.. did real well.
