    7.3 powerstroke oil leak

OEM only for anything related to the engine IMO

CPS changeout with dual alternator 7.3.....

ZERO reason for a dual alternator setup unless you are running a lot of accessories (ambulance) zapping power.

    Superduty steering stiffer than OBS?

My OBS and SD take about the same amount of effort. I'll have to drive each back to back as I've never taken notice if there is a slight difference.

4x4 no light and switch doesn't work

Can you manually put the t-case into 4wd. Leave it that way and then manually lock the hubs when you need 4wd? Unlocking the hubs would allow 2wd operation even if the t-case is still in 4wd. That should get you by until you fix the problem. I’m just guessing as I have the old timey manual hubs...

    7.3 powerstroke oil leak

injector o-rings would put oil into the fuel and burn it at the rate you speak of. Does your fuel bowl have oil in it?

    285 70 17 tires & 4.10 gears

Larger wheels/tires take more power to spin from a stop. However, I'd keep the 3.55 and just run out of O/D when towing. I purposely searched from non-4.10 trucks when I bought the two that I have due to the 4.10s guzzling fuel and screaming rpms on the highway

    Early 1999 F350 Dually 2x4

I've got an E99 as well. Smaller everything on the engine (injectors, turbo, etc). Different front axle bits related to mounting/track bar etc. Different rotors/calipers as well. When the wheel hubs need to be swapped most "upgrade" to the L99-03 style as parts are cheaper because they are more...

throttle pedal travelling half way down

sounds like the IVS is out of adjustment. Until it clicks closed the PCM ignores throttle input. Sounds like an adjustment is needed.

    7.3 powerstroke oil leak

it's either the EBPV actuator (works off of oil pressure) or the turbo o-rings on the pedestal. I wouldn't drive it until fixed because that looks like quite a significant leak. If you're cheap like me, I would just remove the turbo pedestal, gut the actuator and plug with a pipe cap. Gut the...

    Injector info

considering that they are hydraulic electric unit injectors i'm not sure you could build a "pop-tester" that would work on older "conventional" style injectors.

    7.3 shuts off abruptly.......

you really need to get the code read, the PCM is telling you what is wrong.

    Cleaned. Engine then slow death

are you using OEM or international replacement parts? I'd strongly advise to do that. The EBPV is controlled by a two wire pigtail at the base of the turbo pedestal. Unplugging it will make it stay in whatever position it is at. Ideally you'd want to completely gut the valve and plug the...

    Cleaned. Engine then slow death

I'd stick with the mechanical pump. Normally they weep out the bottom into the engine valley prior to failing. I'd remove the EBPV (the rod you are speaking of) as it serves practically no purpose.

what oil are you using? 5w-40 (I run rotella) does wonders for the HPO system

agree....biggest downside to the 6637 is intake noise...some like it...some don't....I couldn't stand it so I went back to the factory air box

Thanks. I've seen 89 ftlbs for flexplate to crank as well. None of fasteners are TTY so I'd assume they are ok to reuse.
