I'm looking forward to seeing how well the Carrick parts do ;Sweet hopefully you'll have your truck on the road before I get to that point

SF Bay Area memorial day weekend 2016 GTG.

I won't be able to give a definite until the time-off request gets approved, but if it's approved, I'll be there ;Sweet I can bring brownies (no 215-approved ingredients, sorry LOL ) or cookies...I'm better with desserts than main course type stuff...

    Subways DT360 into my 94 F350

I've been thinking about doing that when I do my intercooler install. For me, two non-negotiables are working A/C (I'm a penguin; I'm uncomfortably hot above 68 degrees  ) and cruise control. For what it's worth, just about every pickup truck out there with a factory intercooler put the...

Bricknose (1987-1991) Red Interior pieces, SF Bay Area, CA

Cruiseomatic I still have the parts, but I had to take them out of where they were stored...they're sitting in the bed of my truck now; I hope the weather hasn't damaged them. I need to make getting rid of everything a priority. If you could please let me know either way before next Monday (May...

    Subways DT360 into my 94 F350

For what it's worth, I don't know if later engines were set up like this, but at least the early 12 valve Cummins 6BT is set up like that. The water pump if off to the side, and there's a separate piece that bolts on to the block to hold a pulley that only drives the fan. Might be worth looking...

    One Fuel Tank Pegs Gauge

On a brick-nose or OBS truck, a pegged full fuel level gauge indicates a dead sending unit (a slant-nose will peg empty). You might get lucky and have a connection issue, but I would be prepared to replace the sending unit...and, from what you said, possibly the tank as well. You might try...

    Max Payload

Look on your door jamb for the weight rating sticker. It will tell you what your Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is, along with your Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) for both the front and the rear axle. These numbers represent the maximum weight that your truck's allowed to be at. Then, go...

Forgive my delay in replying; been busier than a one-armed paperhanger LOL I do still have them. Are you still interested?

    Manual wouldnt go into gear

If it flexed at all, it's cracked. That may not be all of your issue, but it definitely needs to be addressed...I'd get the reinforcement plate and install it ASAP. Beyond that, how's the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder? If yours is anything like mine, once you have the cap off...

    DB electrical 4 kw starter

Metal under the eyelid...no fun at all!! :( Might be worth looking at something like this? http://www.framesdirect.com/landing/a/prescription-safety-glasses.html I haven't done it yet (I want to get my eyes checked and get a new prescription first), but might be worth the time...

    Front caliper sticking. Again.

Stupid question, but are you sure the piston's what's sticking? I found a stuck caliper on my truck a few years ago, but the piston moved as it should...what froze was the points where the caliper slides on the mount. I used a good quality grease at every sliding point and reused the caliper...

SF Bay Area memorial day weekend 2016 GTG.

I haven't heard anything either way, so I don't think any firm decision's been made. Based on your post, unless someone has a strong objection, I think that would be a good argument for Sunday. What does everyone else have to say? Also, any further thoughts on which place to do this at?

Here's that steering linkage setup I was talking to you about on Tuesday: http://www.carrickcustoms.com/collections/frontpage/products/d60-heavy-duty-steering-kit There's some discussion on it towards the bottom of the page in this thread...

    1990 Ford Bronco 4BT swap

Just curious, any idea how much the powder-coating is going to set you back? Are you doing 4 wheels, or doing the spare also?

    Noob question #2643

Not uncommon, especially on N/A engines...when I took my top end apart back in '04, I found the remains of a squirrel's nest tucked behind the intake  certainly explained the bite marks on the glow plug wires!!

    Dana 60 Steering Bumpstop Adjustment

Did you have any problems with the axle U-joints binding up with the wheel cranked hard over while the front hubs were locked? That's the only potential problem I can think of...otherwise, sounds like a great idea to me! ;Sweet

    BRICK NOSE BLOW OUT!!!

Perfect!! ;Sweet PM me with your address when you get a chance...afternoons generally work better for me, although I could get there earlier if need be. I'm happy to pull the running boards myself; that way I know how they're supposed to go on LOL

    BRICK NOSE BLOW OUT!!!

I hear you on wanting her gone! Would next Tuesday work for you? And, actually, if the speaker cutouts are clean and straight, that might be a good thing...I've been considering options for putting rear speakers in my crew-cab, so that might work. I'll take a look next week ;Sweet

    THE BEAST IS ALIVE - - - -

Okay, good...I presume you've done enough reading to know about the bimetallic spring GP controller on your truck. Time to do some trouble-shooting...you can either replace the controller, upgrade to a solid-state controller, or go push-button... In any event, sounds like fun! ;Sweet
