since I had no idea what was in it, I purchase a kit that has everything. Flywheel, clutch, pressure plat and all bearings. I also purchased a new clutch fork. Start fresh. The trans has been replaced at sometime as there is yellow marker on the drain and fill plugs. It is very tight and shifts...
I removed the down pipe. Removed the rest of the bolts and the trans came out like it was on greased rails. Here is a pic of the clutch. We came back from northern Idaho towing my Jeep. It never should have made it.
I am able to do the work, just takes some time. I have plenty of time. So the down pipe goes from turbo to exhaust? And the crossover pipe goes under the engine to the other? I think I got that right.
I have to replace my clutch. I have removed the transfer case, the cross members and 2 of the bell housing bolts. I understand there are 6 bolts. Do the bottom two go in from the engine side? I also found one post that said the turbo has to come off. How difficult is that. Guess it is a good...
So my wife was going to babysit grandkids and she called. Truck won’t move. When I got it home and opened up clutch cover plate i found the clutch disk paper thin. what are the torque specs for the mounting bolts for transmission and transfer case? Any tips on replacement that will make it go...
I’ll have to look at the cruise closer. I think it is all electric. No hose going to the motor assembly. Forgot about the brakes. They stop real good. I do need to replace the parking brake cables and figure I may as well replace rear brakes at the same time as I don’t know what they are like.
I am thinking of installing a vacuum canister to my vacuum rail. Has anyone done this? Is there a benefit? What all is the vacuum used for? My cruise control is electric. At higher speeds it surges back and forth slightly. Enough for me to feel but not for the wife to complain. If I take off the...
This is connected to my vacuum rail. It aLos has electrical wires going to it. It is located drivers side front by the radiator. Also I have read that the vacuum pump is located below the alternator. Why is mine located on top of my engine?
i am going to add an electric pump on the frame rail in a couple weeks. I have some questions. Do I just use a tubing cutter and cut a section out of the fuel line? If so, do I just slip the hose over the line and tighten the hose clamp? What size hose? Where to pull power from so it is off when...
My 93 7.3 turbo died on the road today. I have only 30 miles on my full tank. I could not get it to start or bleed the air out. Mechanical pump only has 1300 miles on it. My nephew had an electric edelbrook fuel pump on the fender that he had been using. I hooked it up before the mechanical pump...
