Probably would be ok. I wouldn't do it because I'd be worried about overstressing the threads on those holes. They are not big bolts.

That's the truth. Loosening the injector lines would be a few-hour ordeal in a van. Here's my video of me timing it with the turnbuckle method, and that's a big enough of a PITA as is.

After using the wrench boss on almost all of my IDI's, I never knew how bad the non-nub IDI's were to work on. Took it for granted, that's for sure.
Holy balls. That tool would be great. Something tells me I'd have to put a bend in it to make it work in the van. Basically, my 3/4" open-ended wrench barely fits on top of the IP nub to the underside of the van engine bay. So that IP Turning wrench would definitely be too big. But still...
wow. I didn't want to bust out the prybar against my IP, just in case I somehow warped the housing. I know the tolerances on these IP's are tiny on the inside.
I'm accustomed to turning my IP with a 3/4" open-ended wrench and turnbuckle. There is a square 3/4" nub on the front.
However, I'm currently using my backup IP from an old 6.9 while my regular IP gets checked out. That 6.9 IP has no nub on the front. I don't want to undo the injector...
I'd agree with the 55mph comment. Even with low pressure pushing into the intake, it's better than the intake sucking air thru a filter like in the NA setup. And in a scientific experiment, it would likely show that in a perfect situation with all variables accounted for, the IDIT would edge...
The point of this thread is dealing with MPG. Since my primary focus on my IDI is MPG, I'm just relaying my experience with how best to reduce fuel usage. Since most IDI guys are using their turbos to haul stuff in a truck, they neglect to understand that there are many other uses for an IDI...
This is probably the only way a turbo can contribute to better MPG. Either at high speeds with a low gear ratio, or if you are hauling stuff. But for regular highway driving, you can't get the turbo on these IDI's to spool up enough to warrant the installation.

It was rather vague. I guess the only clue that he had in all of his text (title and wording) was the word "motor," which is one of my pet peeves. Otherwise, it seemed like he was shopping for a turbo. Hard to tell with the way he wrote it.
