    Rats!

Thank you. I didn't see that, for some reason.

    Rats!

Also, down toward the end of the video, I tried to hold the camera steady so that you could see that every time the squeak is heard, the belt tweaks backward toward the engine. Tweaks by maybe a 32nd of an inch. You can see it best on the top of the tensioner pulley, if you hold your eye, (or...

    Rats!

Ok, not a rat, but it sounds like it. LOL My belt jumped off. I replaced the tensioner. It was cracked, so yeah it actually needed it. Didn't replace the belt, because the belt has less than 10k miles on it. With the tensioner replaced, new idler pulley, etc... I am now hearing a squeak...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

We got more snow than that before the middle of october! And... I actually live in what is called a micro-climate. Index gets way more precipitation than even some place as close as Gold Bar, but I get about 30% more precipitation than Index. Regardless of what google says. And not far down...

The Official "Show Us Your Ride" pictures of member's trucks thread.

Call me a hillbilly if you want. I do the same thing. I don't have water unless I haul it in. My 91 has the 450 gallon tank in it. And it does just fine hauling that tank of water up and down my two miles of gravel road, and up and down my 32 degree and greater incline, gravel driveway!

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

What is this thing you call 'salt'? We get a LOT of snow! Probably easily ten times what you guys get. We just don't use salt on the roads. You ask me, it's a conspiracy by the automotive industry to sell more cars...

    Jesus Freak's WMO tow truck

Makes total sense. You don't know what you don't know, so it's always good to ask! I'd test probe down at that foot switch. Figure out which wire is positive only when the bright switch is on. CUT that wire, leaving a good long stub on the switch. Then tie into the stub of it. Run that wire...

    Jesus Freak's WMO tow truck

Run a whole new wire between the floor switch and the relay for the high beams. And you are welcome.

    Down there I wouldn't NEED it! ;)

So what did you do with your truck today?

The bags do work. With Bigelow being the best I've found. But they don't work nearly as well as fresh. I wish I could get the plant to grow where I live. Too many trees or something...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I always go with carhartt. As for your hands, here's something I learned by accident, by first hand experience, (no pun intended), when I was 18. I was working in Washington state, as a volunteer, helping to move a fishing village. Cold COLD... and WET. I have always had poor circulation, so...

Sorry, no stills here. Although I have thought from time to time about building a small one, but just to distill water with. By the way, I know that everyone immediately associates illegal stills with the word 'revenooer'. But I am not sure everyone understands all the reasons why the...

I'm alive. All is on it's way back to normal. I have a ton of things to do. I'll tell all about it later. Damn revenooers! I'll never trust another bureaucrat! Scaly stinkin rat bastidges!

    wildfire

After all of my hard-headed braggadocio... I am now on official fire watch. LOL The smoke HAS gotten quite a bit more acrid now. I just got a notice from boots on the ground that the fire started moving again. It has now reached Heybrook ridge. That is across the river, then across the...

    wildfire

My neighbor and I had a discussion. And we agree. (Two stubborn old farts. If we agree on something LOOK OUT!) The only indications we have had all day since 7am, is that the fire has stayed just northeast of Baring, Wa. That's maybe 3 to 4 miles from where I am, as the crow flies. It has...

    wildfire

I'm all packed up now, but I am not leaving unless I absolutely have to! Apparently all my neighbors but one have already evacuated. All of the town of Index is being evacuated by emergency services. I'm not completely convinced it is going to spread this far.

    wildfire

Here is the fire, on google maps. I am in the center of the red dot on the left. The fire is headed straight for us. My neighbor is in direct touch with fire rescue, and I have asked him to sound the alarm on his fire dept truck, if we need to evacuate. All packed up, the best I can. Ready to...

Wildfire headed straight for me. Prayers please. I don't have time to discuss... Getting ready to evacuate. DARK! Raining burned pine needles like a rainstorm. Gotta go!

    Stranded

Yep. The 92. On the front tank, I skipped everything. Just put a vinyl tube on the pickup. with a brass tee on the end of it. Experimented, looking through the filler hole, while setting the pickup back in the tank, until I got it to where the tee sits perfectly on the floor of the tank. Tank...

    Stranded

Guilty as charged. I have no doubt. When I was younger I was accused of making everything 'gorilla tight' when tightening fasteners. I have always been extra 'dainty' when doing things like dismantling the dash, just because I know my proclivity for not knowing the kind of force I can apply...

Maybe the battery charger just doesn't put out the actual amps that the alternator does? (So the batteries do not end up with the full CCA that it does when the alt does the charging...) Excellent sleuthing! I agree! It's funny how if you watch the forum for a while, you'll see things seem to...

    Stranded

Ok, I got it started. I'll let it run about 20 minutes to charge the batteries up. I knew I was making progress when, with it switched to the rear tank, I started seeing air and fuel at the clear line in front of the fuel filter. Then I let the electric pump run for a while, while I held in...
