@franklin2 is correct
use anything you have to set between the frame rail and the spring to help adjust where you want rear shackle angle to sit.
this is far more necessary/easily done on obs frames rather than bull/brick because they are longer in the frame horn area
@ttman4 and...
yes 6.4 clutch with a custom adapter, custom wiring harness to control the fan clutch using a motorcraft pigtail, instructions, diagrams, cut out templates, hardware and a pwm controller for the fan clutch complete with coolant temp sensor.
fox shocks are expensive but amazing.
on a rsk super duty v code spring
f350 leveled height
holy moly the difference in ride over Bilstein 5100s
fox resivior on the front pn#985-24-052
non resivior on the rear pn# 985-24-005...
my suggestion is to undo the tie rods from the knuckle and try turning it back and forth. it should be able to turn with little effort.
if it takes a lot of effort there is your binding.
likely kingpins.
could also be gearbox, but generally that is only hard to return to center in one direction
@Nero I'm glad to hear it is working out that well and doing everything you want it to. I also love hearing feedback customers!
@cheap bronco message me and we can work something out
then your buddy has some major boost leaks.
my stage 1 drop in will make 10 psi like nothing, and more if I let it. still breaking in this motor so trying to not be as harsh on it, but last motor built at least 25psi on the same fueling as I have now
89 f250 sas sky's rsk v code springs
with Bilstein 5100 shocks on all 4 corners
not super thrilled with the ride. very bouncy.
it was marshmallowey when first put together, I added the front sway bar and it made the front stay squarer, and made the shocks work together instead of bouncing off...
yes it has been done before.
buddy of mine over on fte did it. standard bore pistons .030 over rings file fit.
my suggestion buy rings for the pistons you buy.
are you taking like a blower motor in line of the air inlet into the motor to increase air flow?
or a turbo from a 12 valve?
you don't need to rebuild the engine to add a turbo to a idi. it will not shorten the life of a idi unless it was already worn out and due for a rebuild.
I have wanted...
If you are leaving the motor in, a good suggestion is to use a 5' pry bar and 5-6' round chester pipe. be careful not to bend or damage things like valve covers, or injector lines, but both of these can be very helpful in bending the firewall out of the way. especially the round cheater pipe for...
I had some pictures of my turbo kit that I thought I would share.
if you ever have the motor out of your truck, before you pull it, mark areas of the firewall that are close to the motor. Then when the motor is out, TAKE A SLEDGE HAMMER TO IT!!! You will thank me later.
I cut the pinch weld on...
sounds like you need to adjust it higher just a little bit with the adjustment knob on the center of the module.
if using ac, it will be on at 60% duty cycle the whole time ac is commanded
Those of you that have bought the fan or fan clutch conversion kit, How are your temperatures this summer, and what are you hauling?
I almost never pull a trailer, so it is always empty cruising for me, but that doesn't mean I still don't enjoy the benefits of maintaining 190-195* coolant temp...
I dynoed my truck 2 runs without water injection, and 1 with. who cares about egts on a dyno pull.
but I gained 10hp and about 4-5 psi boost
I always recommend turbo and intercooler before the water me th.
I saw egts drop, BUT PLATEAU with wm.
-20 below I would generally see about 5-6 psi...

that's my setup
looks like some of the photos have gone bad since I initially posted it. I can go back and update.
I am the biggest pro met h guy in the idi circles that I know of, that being said it has its limits...
the factory gauges are inacurate at best. they have a ton of variations and a letter doesn't mean much. that's why I suggest starting with a coolant temp gauge to see where it's running.
next a fan clutch, because if you are running hot, and have a motorcraft thermostat, that is the next...
between the upgraded fan I sell and the electric fan clutch conversion I sell, I promise you can keep that truck cool.
do you have a aftermarket coolant temp gauge? if so how hot is it running?
are you hearing the fan clutch lock up when working it hard?
what brand thermostat? motorcraft?
