@79jasper that was exactly where all of this stemmed from. I was discussing on facebook with some 6.5 guys and several of them called me out because i was spreading out bad data, while i disagree that it is "bad", They did make the point that it was 10 years old and out dated. I am always...
that was exactly my question. is there a difference in rear main seals over the years, and how do I tell?
and my second question was would money be better spent buying the lower gasket kit, or buying just the rear main. I figure that it is always nicer to have more gaskets, especially for less...
in looking for a rear main seal I have come across two different options.

I REALLY like this one just in the fact...
motorcraft thermostat only if you change it. I am a firm believer in oem solves problems, especially when it comes to thermostats. IMO it doesnt matter if it is a honda or a interantional oem thermostats make them happy.
I was shown this article on what the effects are of dosing diesel fuel with two stroke oil. It is a very enlightening read. Lots of good information.

I took a trip to my home in Montana 5 hours away this weekend. (6.5 hours due to road conditions) Truck ran great especially with royal purple 75-140 in the rear end and a 08-10 finned diff cover that both got put in right before the trip. Did break a throttle cable on the way home, but thank...
I have to agree having worked on many 6.0s and 6.4s I would take a 6.0 any day. I dont like the fact with a 6.4 the day you buy it imo you pull the pin on a hand grenade, and pray it doesnt blow up on you. I have seen way too many 6.4s blow up for me to ever consider owning one.
But for the...
I am gearing up to pull the engine this winter and stud the heads. Most of this gearing up is preparing myself to pull the engine. lol. But i am still in a huge debate phase. I also have a spare 7.3 engine, but everything about it is unknown. I think over thanksgiving I will bring it back, as it...
@saburai I need room for activities. The under hood space was getting used by other more important things. so I simply relocated the washer tank and coolant tank in order to house my cold air intake.
Which by the way, I absolutely love it! The added whistley noises it makes are great. I haven't...
I know lots of guys including myself run fleet charge. It is a ethylene glycol based pink coolant that oreillys sells for $16 a gallon. It is a silver bottle with a pink cap. Sca Precharged. I like if for the fact that it is sca precharged, silicate and phosephate free, and readily available at...
it is supposed to be wastegated to 55 and you are correct in one of his drives he still hit 62 psi.
fueling sheet on the black pump is
209cc @ 1000
213cc @2000
204cc @ 2800
overflow @ 3000
IMo factory / 093 is the best option of the three., simply for ease of getting parts, and upgrades. Turbo parts for the banks are hard to find. but as far as turbos go. any turbo is better than no turbo. so if a banks one came up on craigslist I would have jumped on it. I just happened to find a...
Funny you should bring this up. a buddy of mine on the fb idi page and i were just talking about this.
We also shot around the idea of possibly "tuning" a idi. In the fact of running lower fuel psi (lower timing) for a tow "tune" and then jacking pressure up (timing increased) for a hot "tune"...
Justin ran lots of water meth with his bronco engine, that and i guess techically fuel to also keep it cool. He has to run glow plugs when cranking to get it to fire, or else the amount of fuel going into the cylinder puts out the "fire" of ignition. It is also strictly a play toy, stoplight to...
If you are on facebook look up a guy by the name of tony rojo. He does stellar work second to none. Prices are fairly steep, but you get what you pay for. He even does bricknose hid retrofits
@Sidewinded_idi Good to know. I only filled it up halfway and also left the 8' of tubing empty when I installed it. I then checked it when i got home, only at operating temp, but it still had 1-2'' left to go before it hit the top. If it really needs to overflow I know it will as the cap is not...
Tank for mockup purposes and the other bracket for the drivers side relocation of the actual washer tank.
marked for cutting and drilling. High accuracy right there.
