    I found doubles in mine. They often don't come out with the injector and someone replacing injectors in a hurry, or lazy, doesn't notice and there ends up being 2 down there. Not good.

    I had a 351W that treated me well in a 1978 F-100 2wd. Hauled all our crap + my wife's car in tow from MA to OR. And then all our crap + a full U-Haul trailer from OR to UT. I always wanted to put something better than that 2bbl carb. on it but the frame rusted out before I had a chance.

    I just checked the tires again and they are 10 ply and at 80 psi. per the sidewall specs. Would it be safe to run them at 30 psi? Maybe my Christmas bonus will be going to new tires.

    Make a mark on it where it is before you take it off and it should run fine there (assuming it is in decent shape). Fine tuning the timing later will just make it run better.

    Since it got cold here (15F) I do 8 then try. It usually starts but if not (because I forgot to plug in the block heater) I give it another 5 or so and try again and it starts. And then I do 3-6 with it running and I can hear it run a bit smoother and I let off.
