    Timing cover removal in truck

I ended up going for the remove ip route, needed to swap my injecotrs, gp’s, and harness from my old motor so having all the lines gone made it a breeze Not sure what all the fuss is about those crazy 9/16 wrenches for ip’s is I just had to grind the sides a 1/4” on each side and I was good to...

    Timing cover removal in truck

I suppose you could do it with the cover in but I couldn’t imagine pulling and installing a seal with the core support in, as-well as I’m not sure if it is the seal or if it’s the timing cover gaskets or where the cover seals to the pan,

    Timing cover removal in truck

The reason sliding the oil pan rtv vs pushing it like it’s supposed to doesn’t scare me is that’s how you have to do the rear main in truck and I’ve successfully sealed 3 so to me that is a valid method

    Timing cover removal in truck

My front main is leaking, or something on the timing cover I’m sure of it I just cleaned everything and sure enough what is the bare minimum I have to remove clearance wise? I just put this engine in so I’d be annoyed if the core support had to come out again Of course it didn’t leak a drop...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Not really the cherry pickers fault, I’ve used it for idis on the 1/4 setting too many times I’m sure that’s what the reason was, I don’t care about the motor it’s got rod knock or some sort of malice I was able to shove it so it landed on the oil pan so hopefully I can still salvage stuff

So what did you do with your truck today?

Oh yea all good for me, I was just rolling it backwards so not like I was under it or anything, pretty damn loyal cherry picker I’ve done 6 idis with that on 1/4 ton interesting why it gave on 1/2 ton Just following in your foot steps Nero now I’ve got 2 dented oil pans
