    Got a Bad Feeling...

That certainly is an idea. I definitely can't test it running as the fan blows it all over and again, it doesn't leak when hot.

    Don't Ya Just Love...

... working 'over' the engine, getting harpooned by this? I'm installing a return line kit. That, and replacing the GP Controller are always fun!

And... I had one of these too!

    Got a Bad Feeling...

Looks as much fun as working on my 'prior' old 1950, Allis-Chalmers Dozer.

    Got a Bad Feeling...

Ha, assuming I have a nice warm, well lite shop to do all that in. Since I've been driving (1973) everything is done out in the elements, laying on cardboard.

I wish, inspected that location ... doesn't seem to be coming from that high of an area.

    Got a Bad Feeling...

With the colder temps setting in and with a cold engine I believe I have a coolant weep/drip behind the front cover. Hot engine, no drip, all summer, no drip. If it was the water pump it would be leaking at the weep-hole, all the time. Not happy.

This kit I've used and turns out I also have one in stock. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273328228626

So yours also loses its prime? I seem to smell the raw fuel more so on the drivers side vs the passenger however, maybe that's just because that's the side I use most. I have a spare return kit in stock... guess I'll just install it and hope for the best.

    Losing Prime

As mentioned prior... having my truck since 'new' I've dealt with the usual 'return-line' issues. I've seen them being 'damp' to being 'wet'! This time I'm just not seeing anything but, I smell the stench of raw fuel. The return kit I get is 'supposedly' using quality German fuel hose, caps and...

I do have a sloped parking area and have parked different ways, after several days of sitting the same thing happens. The valley pan was wet but also oily from under the air cleaner. I sprayed Brake-Clean and cleaned the valley pan also put a few heavy napkins under the IP to see if any fuel...

Where was your leak? I still can't find mine but I smell raw diesel. Shipping rate made my Olives $$$$.

Six Olives $36.00 three -3/8ths and three -5/16th's. Still haven't found the leak but, hopefully when this colder weather hits it will show itself as a bad Olive or return O-Ring etc. And NOT in the IP.

Don't have my diesel book with me... return line to tank: am I guessing there's a 3/8th Olive in that nut? Since new I've never touched it.

Thanks, how long ago did you get them? Also... you have the 6.9 I have the 7.3 so I'm guessing they may be two different sizes? *5/16" Vibra-Loc - McMaster-Carr Item 50385K83 on the hardline from Filter head to IP. *3/8" Vibra-Loc - McMaster-Carr Item 50385K84 on the hardline from Lift pump to...

Well, the valley pan was wet but I know it's also coming from under the air cleaner... kinda oily if you know what I mean. No visible leaks anywhere but... 'possibly' the Olive going to the IP is failing. I cleaned everything off with brake clean and put paper towel under the IP and will check...

    Coffee Can Mounting Location?

Years ago I had cab mounts repaired and the shop left the vacuum can flopping around. Can someone post a picture of how it should be mounted? I see a stud on the bottom of the can but can't tell where it went. Thanks!

Sure dose, that's also dry. For the amount of raw fuel I smell I would think the leak would be easy find, not this time.

Sure does, no leaks from there. For the amount of raw fuel I'm smelling I would think locating a wet spot would be easy... not this time.

Since new in 1988 I've dealt with the usual leaking return lines/O rings but, this time I can't figure where the fuel smell is coming from and air is getting in. After several days of sitting, it loses prime... fires then dies... crank, crank, crank and fires and runs fine. I smell raw fuel but...

    I've got an Exhaust Problem!

Finally have all the needed pieces to replace the entire exhaust system... from Y-pipe to over the axle and even new hangers. Realizing it's time for my truck to have a new home, bought her new in 1988 (actually special ordered her). Now just need a cooler day to once again, to get under it...

    I've got an Exhaust Problem!

    Well, I located a 'new' Walker Y-pipe .... $135.00 add delivery > > > $310.00 hopefully FedEx doesn't deliver it looking like a pretzel.

    I've got an Exhaust Problem!

I realize they have to make it, but that number just for the Y is a little extreme. To buy some time I may have to try some muffler tape and 'hope' Walker actually decides to make them again. I'll be calling Walker once a week.
