With a return type regulator, you'll be ok. Hit the lift pump threads before you buy an e pump. IdIot has a ?100?gpm mechanical conversion. There's a metric s h i t t u n of threads here for research. Till you go full tilt, 1/2 flat won't be an issue.- Clb

I'm not sure if I follow you here... If a pump from the 80's ( the antique part I posted ) was rebuilt and sent out with a stripped thread, (???) Should've been a warranty call. If it was stripped upon delivery, and you failed to return it up front then it's on you. However taking payment...- Clb
