Just wires are like $90. the kit to swap it over to manual is $225 yes it is expensive, but put it together yourself with top quality parts and it wont be much cheaper.
I agree 30 seconds is way too long and they were dead the first time they ran that long. If somebody ran autolites before you they burn up quick even when nothing is wrong. Since you are having so much trouble with this I would recommend a couple things.
First get some new plugs, either the...
Well after writing my post i was curious enough I went and looked it up. A pretty good read about the difference between biodiesel and Renewable diesel
https://farmdocdaily.illinois.edu/2023/02/biodiesel-and-renewable-diesel-whats-the-difference.html
basically they are made from the same...
All the stations around me have switched to some sort of biodiesel. I tried to avoid it, but the station I go to most and has the best price around is a 76 and they switched to what they call Renewable Diesel. not exactly sure what it is. their website says it is 100% renewable made from...
So this EDD 6014R pump does it bolt right up or do you have to make modifications to get it to fit? My pump leaks somewhere I havent tracked it down yet, but I may be in the market for a new pump later this year.
The Saginaw pumps came on the Econolines. But I have not found any with a serpentine belt set up. Doesnt mean they are not out there, I have just never seen one, only V belt set ups.
Just so you know a lot of guys run gear oil in their ZF5s to quiet down the gear rollover from a SMF, if I remember right I think 30w is what was mostly used. and ATF is commonly used for power steering fluid, again I seem to remember type F ATF is actually speced by Ford for their power steering.
I have seen a lot of guys add surface area to the pump arm to keep it from rubbing through the case. you can google BW 1356 oil pump mod. there are some good pictures and write up s on Fullsizebronco.com. even just google images shows some good shots of it. seems pretty easy for some peace of...
mine has a little more room than yours. I had much more trouble getting CDDs down pipe to clear the up pipe. It was rubbing on the v band clamp. Had to clock the clamp differently and put a small relief in the down pipe, but everything fits now and is sealed up great. The only issue is now the...
I just put @IDIoit up pipe on my truck and had to grind down the same spot. I talked to him and on his mock up piece it clears, on others it clears, on some it takes some grinding to clear. apparently all the intakes are a little bit different.
Thanks for the replys. I am already spending a bunch of money so I dont really want to spend another $500, but if they make a difference it might be worth it. I just dont want to buy the polyurethane ones and be bummed with ride. Everyone always says how stiff they are compared to rubber.
It...
I am getting ready to replace the body mounts on my truck. Looking around it looks like the polyurethane ones are all you can get, except for a set from S&B that are silicone, but they are about twice the cost. the energy suspension ones are $239 and the S&B ones are $449. They look really nice...
If you want to operate equipment, I would ask around and see what companies are near you. Even if its a small one, just call them up and say you are looking for a job and want to learn. Most guys are real cool and will either give you a chance or if they don't have an opening know someone who...
Dude, the trades are hurting for workers right now. Everyone I know is looking for employees, from the big heavy civil guys, all the way down to the sole proprietor looking for a hand. There are literally millions of job openings in the trade world right now. Go find a company that runs...
I have a question for you. I looked through your thread and didnt see a clear picture of it. I am in the middle of putting in the same T04Z turbo on my truck. what did you do with the #3 injector line that is right in the way of the intake there? were you able to bend it enough with out...
man I am not any help here with what to do on your transmission, but i do want to say I am sorry you have gone through all of this. Those shady mechanics that ripped you off are terrible people and hopefully will get whats coming to them and soon. I will say, yes, you want the FIPL adjusted...
I am looking at coming up with a catch can here real soon. what size lines did you go with? I like the custom valve covers with a hose coming off each one, mine will just be from the one stock location.
Thats who I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember who it was. I believe he had them put aftermarket parts on too if I am not mistaken, possibly Russ's cam and different valve springs, but you would have to check his thread.
I believe its Promar, and you can actually get some customization with it too. Several members have motors from them and have had good results. but like IDIBronco said give it a once over before running it.
