I have not tried it on my K&N filter, have just used the K&N stuff. I use no-toil on my foam air cleaner on my bike. Stuff is amazing add the cleaner to hot water, dip the filter in water and its clean. Only works with no-toil oil, but I have heard the cleaner can be substituted for oxy-clean.
Actually it is remarkable easy with a soldering iron (35-50 watt) and high lead solder(use electrical not plumbing). Make sure the soldering iron is hot and tinned. Never had one get so hot you cannot handle it with your hands.
To get the fuel out use a 1/16" inch drill. Drill a hole on both flat side of the float, one for fuel one to let air in. Use a electric solder iron, rosin core solder to seal the drilled holes. Plop the float into hot water to find the leak, the hot water will expand the air and you should...
Gross horsepower is taken of the crank no accessories and may not even be standards in the past often skewed.
Net horsepower is taken from the crank with accessories driven. U.S. manufactures comply with S.A.E. standards and corrections to sea level, temperature and other air conditions...
The 190hp is net horsepower, power is measured with the engine fully dressed driving power steering pump, alternator, vacuum pump and fan. 275 is probably gross and definitely not driving a fan, and vacuum pump.
Also does marine horsepower use the same correction factors?
I would assume the 275 hp on the marine engine is gross hp at the flywheel, willing to bet it is not wheel hp. Convert the 275 to wheel hp and it is not that high of number for a turbocharged idi.
I just installed this booster on mine. It comes with the pushrod, even though the picture does not show it. Talon hydraulics does sell the pushrod, spring and holder.
Ive pulled boxes with 4 tie downs (non-ratchet) one on each corner. I attached the other end to the rafter in my shed. Then just keep working up each strap 3-4 inches at a time.
I swapped out the non wastegated banks for wastegated banks. The only benifit to the non wastegated was ease of access to the bolts. The gain in performance with the wastegated turbo is surprising in all areas.
Could pull it off and clean it. I would rebuild it on the axle as it would be difficult installing all the springs without the backing plate firmly anchored. Check where the seal rides on the axle. If it is grooved you will need to install a speedi sleeve to prevent a further oil mess.
check your firing order. new cam could be a different then the stock firing order.
Non h.o. firing order 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
h.o. fiiring order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
Notice that 5 and 7 have changed order. my bet is 3 and 4 are not firing on the passenger.
also if it is a carburetor with a...
On the surface I did not think the GV would cause the problem, but the more I read and associated it with rebuilding a GV a few years ago the more it points to the GV.
The more you explain the more it sounds like the gv unit. Pull it off check it out. If the clutch looks fine on both sides check to see if something is holding from applying the direct side of the clutch. Could be physical obstruction in the pistons, or blocked passage way allowing enough oil...
Read the page I posted. When shifting and when neither clutches are in contact the spraque clutch applies so the engine does not find a neutral. If the direct clutch is out the sprague clutch will transfer power in forward but not reverse. 1995voyageres is most likely running metal to metal...
I am not 100% sure on this, but it could be that the direct side of the clutch is shot and forward motion in direct is a result of the sprague clutch.
After reading up on this I would say I am 99% sure that this is your problem. With any luck you can just replace the cone clutch, if you have...
