Yes, I’m aware. I have been speaking with Señor Nero about his turbo parts, but was wondering where one might be able to acquire a new harmonic balancer for the turbo engines.
As far as I’m able to tell, the harmonic balancers used on the naturally aspirated and factory turbo engines are different. Not surprising what with the different rods and pistons.
Ok, so here are the International part numbers
1805414C1 for 6.9 engines
1803317C1 for 7.3 non turbo engines...
The most noticeable gap to me is 2nd to 3rd, but it’s not terrible
NV4500. Same 5 speed from the Dodge trucks, 94-02. The 3rd to 4th drop really is terrible, same can be said with that transmission behind a Cummins
And the 12V doesn’t rev that high…
I don’t change the clock in my personal vehicles. They stay on summer time.
On my phone lock screen I have the time the rest of the country uses, and an hour behind this time of year. I recognize the existence and planning based upon time listed during this part of the year, but I myself do not...
Yes, suction side of the pump.
I have a six port three way manual valve instead of the original FSV, I wondered about returning the fuel from the pump to the tank with the rest of the fuel. That would increase fuel flow and could possibly change the fuel’s temperature.
I ordered a heat...
I like 95-97 D60s, essentially a big brake ball joint, still has 8x6.5 pattern, with manual hubs. They have calipers that bolt on instead of those pins. A bolt in, no hassle swap. But I am very far from normal…
Slowly getting there… I need to clean the oil mess up still. Working on the V band up pipe this morning, then I’ll work on mounting the down pipe. Intercooler tubing from Hypermax arrives tomorrow. I’ll need to acquire a 3.5” silicone boot and 3” to 3.5” exhaust adapter. Then get the wastegate...
Doesn’t bother me a bit. Old information is still information.
I haven’t been able to find them either. My understanding is that they don’t make them in that length anymore.
I have been able to find a 110.5 inch one at Napa, it has worked for me.
Well, I blew up the Pulse turbo on my 91. It was an older one, I bought that kit used. I have replaced every component except the turbo at this point. Drove itself home the 8 miles, smoking like it was on fire. Drank quite a bit of oil, but didn’t run the sump dry. There is oil absolutely...
I went and bought a pristine condition factory turbo kit this morning. Has every single piece, including the heat shields. No shaft or end play in the turbo itself. I think I got a pretty good deal, all things considering.
You’re talking about the electric servo cruise system from the 92+ trucks? I’ve heard of it being done to the 87-91 bricknose, but not a bullnose. I’m sure it could be done, but like you said, you’d need to know which wires. Although, I’m pretty sure that the vacuum cruise systems used in the...
